3) As to disabling timestop: NO WAY, NO HOW, FORGET IT.
Timestop is extremely useful, I have two of them in memory at all times, and I can't count the number of times I've saved entire runs by being the one to TS, res three people, and then they res people, and we go from near-wipe to everyone up inside of 30 seconds.
Not to mention its *offensive* uses when soloing...heck even in groups - if I can TS, step forward, and take down a room...its worth it. And high level places where that is useful offensively applied: Ssithrak, Illithids, BEHOLDERS. I can use it there to break rooms.
So enough of the "lets shut off TS" Bull$#IT...else I start campaigning to have evasion taken off of monks or take disarm traps away from rogues.
TS is only annoying when its used stupidly - which is no worse than a stupid fighter charging into a room like a stupid idiot when the mages rest. Problem is, you can't take the stupid out of the fighter by pulling his weapons. Don't fall into the mental trap of thinking you can take the stupid out of a bad mage by taking TS away.
If someone makes a bad call with TS, its a function of the player making a mistake and not the spell. Its no different than someone casting loot breaking spells next to a canister...but I don't see people saying "lets take away earthquake from clerics and druids" because they break loot every once in a while.
So leave the bloody Time Stop alone. Really, this is like the fourth time this has come up and the arguments weren't any better the last times. Timestop, like EVERY OTHER EFFECT IN THE GAME, is best used intelligently, and fails when used wrong.
