Hmm I think this is going to be a pain to prove and I doubt anyone is going to rollback their system to test it, unless it really bothers them that much. I remember reading a fair few comments on the Bioware website around 2004 (their search engine makes it painful to do searches). Here is one on the subject which proves it did exist back in 2003, and the view it was a bug that was posted. nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=232170&forum=78&highlight=soak%20enhanced%20weaponCheers Lala

As far as I remember, it's always been that way, +eb is basically +attack and +damage, but with a higher item cost. And same deal with bows.. the +attack count towards cutting through reduction, not arrow stats, strangely enough. Just wondering...are those stinger archers and devariels in the desert supposed to cut right through +14 premonition? I understand there are other good reasons to use and build a bane knight, but doesn't this fact really negate the "special-ness" of their version of Premonition? I mean if you went ALL out on your BG levels, you would have at most 48 levels of BG at 60, which would give you a soak level starting at +12. That won't even stop ssithraks. Why all the extra effort to give them that spell when it basically does nothing in LL areas?

Is this analysis correct?...if it is could Bane Knights get a lil help/fix...so this spells really helps them when it matters? Thanks

Actually you wouldnt even have premonition if you took 48 bg levels, as this would only yield lvl 6 spells, so max amount of Bg levels on a bane knight with premonition would be 44. This would give bane knights a premonition soak of 34/+11. My suggestion is count blackguard levels + 1/2 sorc levels, for a maximum premoniton caster level of 52 (42/+13).
