Cleric level 5 Spell Blistering Radiance: reduces conceal by CL/10 for 10 rounds, respects SR. // RP: Idea came from Black Slaads shrouded in darkness mega conceal, counter it with blistering radiance to hinder the darkness and reveal what is concealed. // Potential for balancing the weaker schools for a regular cleric - transmutation / illusion / conjuration - if it scaled on one of those instead of CL/10 would 1%/foci capping out at 5% at PSF, but would still not be enough for those schools for an average cleric. Capped out it would still be in both scenarios weaker than a pure rangers one, and respects SR. I like the idea overall, and making it depend on foci is an interesting touch. Note that using an 'exotic' school hurts caster-style Clerics without necessarily affecting 'bot-Clerics', which are (IMO) already favoured in places like Limbo. Perhaps a slightly different angle could be to keep it as Evocation but to limit the conceal-drop to high-conceal targets (eg: 80% base or above). This gives caster Clerics a bit more impact in places like Limbo/Asmodeus fight (where they currently feel a bit lacklustre) without boosting their already stellar power for the rest of Hell/Abyss - overall it would increase the strength of 'standard Abyss' builds in Limbo, which are generally a bit low right now. [The "limit conceal-drop to targets above X%" is just a simplified concept, it would be better with some type of exponential scaling (such that it would provide a relatively smaller conceal drop to targets with mid-range conceal like Pit Fiends/Malebranches), I just couldn't think of any reasonable numbers.]

Make it reduce enemies' conceal by CL/5%? The percent is a percent of their total conceal, not a flat reduction to conceal in this case. Such that a pure cleric casting it on an Ayperobos swarm with 99% conceal (IIRC) would reduce it to ~87%, but the same cleric casting it on soemthing with 50% conceal would only reduce it to 44%?

I guess my point was to be careful about increasing their strength in runs where they are already very strong (maybe I am being overcautious here?). For example, with Assay Resistance (a whopping +7 SP with PSF Divination) Clerics can *easily* land this spell on targets like Elite Malebranches. If it flatly scales based on the target's conceal, then Malebranches would be affected almost as much as Black Slaads, meaning the spell would still be quite strong.
In short, IMO the challenge is to make the spell good against stuff like Black Slaad/Asmodeus without being particularly good against stuff like Malebranche/Pit Fiend.

Then again, a cleric who knows how to setup their spell book and use it efficiently, could be rewarded for it overall, not just for few specific occasions. Tho, as a tank/arcane player I do think they are OP, give more tanks conceal drop other than ranger / medallion!

Whilst Bestow Curse (Transmutation) is treated as Necromancy for a Pale Master it is blocked if you bar this school which seems wrong, any chance this could be changed?

Unfortunately not. The barred school behavior is in the engine.

That's a pain having to keep the whole school in for one spell, I guess its not possible to replicate as a new HG spell or with minor mods to make it slightly different, however I accept that its potentially a lot of work to help only one class so probably not worthwhile. Based on your reply I'm going to guess that the wiki documentation that states PM's can cast Power Word Kill even if they have barred Divination is incorrect and needs modification too?

Spell: Word of Balance Level 7 Druid Spell
Would like to request that this spell be included in spells that work against Hel, as it is explicitly, and only, Sonic damage.
