This Schedule is subject to change, though the days are reletively fixed. More events may may be scheduled on these days, if I can find dms willing to commit to running them, and the times may move. At present, the times are based on my schedule, and as such are not particularly accomodating to our European players, for which I apologize.
Sunday 7pm EST/12am GMT
Tuesday 10pm EST/ Wednesday 3am GMT
Thursday 7pm EST/12am GMT
First event will begin this Sunday August 28. Events should run around 1 hour 45 minutes total time, with about 15 minutes prep (hopefully that number will decrease as people get used to the rules), and about 15 minutes of wrapup. Only guild members may participate, and a prize will be awarded to the team with the most points. Other prizes will be awarded for individual points accrued, but you should expect to spend at least several sessions in order to accumulate enough points for an individual prize. Prizes are NICE magic items, unavailable elsewhere. I would like at least 8 guild members per session, or I may call off the event that day. The rules for the event are as follow (they are handed out ingame as well):
===================================
Pillars of Perdition Guild Combat Area
Goal: To acquire as many "Guild Competition Point" items as you can.
The Pillars of Perdition are a series of platforms linked by bridges.
-Some of the bridges have been destroyed, so you will need to use boots of springing and leaping to cross them. You must be wearing the boots to use their special power. Boots will be handed out before the event.
-You will have to contend with teleportation and damage beams. Most of the platforms trigger such hazards when stepped on. The platform nearest each team base will not, however, teleport members of that team. The plsatforms do not always trigger such events, they are random.
-You will be ported into the area by the DM when the competition begins. You will automatically be teleported to the home base for the team you have been assigned for this event. Team status is different than guild status; it is temporary, and members of the same guild may be assigned to different teams if the DM thinks it is necessary.
-To get Guild Competition Points, you must first find and kill the Ssithraks throughout the area. They will respawn frequently. They are dangerous opponents in and of themselves, armed with bows.
-The Ssithraks carry Glimmerstones. These are special gems, only ONE may be carried by a player at a time. If you pick up another, the one you were carrying will be destroyed. If you are killed while carrying one, it will drop a short distance from your corpse.
-Take these gems to to the gem converters in your team's base to convert them to guild competition points. One gem converts to one Guild Competition Point. You cannot use another team's converter to convert gems. At the end of the time alloted by the DM, the team with the most total points amongst their members will win. Guild Competition Points are non - transferable and non - pickpocketable.
You should bring your strongest chartacter to this competition. Even so, expect a pounding. If you are not immortal you don't stand much chance of surviving, much less getting points.
==================================
See you there. I expect carnage!!!
