I did a google search for HigherGround.pdf and found this: nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Other.Detail&id=1229This is not 100% up to date, but has a lot of good information. You'll need to reveiw the updates since February.

We moved the link to it out of the public forums because it was so out of date - much of the information in it is now completely incorrect.

Can anyone recommend a program to view this in failing the ability to print it? The default windows program has such a hard time scrolling and zooming that I can't really use the map very effectively.. The computer I'm viewing it on isn't THAT bad.. Thanks Here ya go, I have been using this viewer since it was released 1996, the best IMO, I have tried others since but this is the best still, small footprint, ez to use and understand, supports any format and it's Free! There are many versions and I have tried some of the others but I still use V 3.00 here: www.oldapps.com/irfanview.php?old_irfanview=69You can find all the other versions there also, take your pick (but I only recommend v3.00 ) also you don't install it per se, just put the exe into whatever folder you want and create a shortcut to it. I named my folder "Viewers" because I have several but this is the only one I use. And yes I agree is a very strange name (Swedish) but who gives a rats ass when it works this good.

Hopefully Bort hasn't been waiting 5 years to figure out how to open the map The new irfanview works great, it is an installed program now, and is my default picture opener. You can batch edit/rename/change file type, lots of useful stuff.

Yeah well I'm sorry about that, I'm new here and failed to notice all the other pages on this thread and the date of post, it wasn't until I replied that I noticed all the other replies above mine on the thread! eeks* was a bit late here so I didn't think *just delete it, and instead thought *maybe no one will notice, hah hah, (kinda like walking into hell at lvl 5) it seems not the case, I will be more careful in the future.

I would like to say good job on this map, it must have taken a bit of work to compile, there is one thing that you may or may not want to do with it, as it is, the map is so big that at least I cannot make heads or tails of it, each section is so small compared to the overall I think I need a microscope to see any detail, it looks (not sure) like there are labels for each area but text is too small to tell even zooming in, may I suggest that it be split into sections, it looks like 6 different sections should work, also having it in TIFF format would make the resolution much better. Thanx

Thanx HGwiki has the link to the most recent version (and using any image viewer you can zoom and see all details, the quality is quite good actually, I just wish they were taken with all locations pins and portals details like in game with nwncq. wiki.hgweb.org/w-hg/images/7/7f/HG20101028-6500.jpg

And BTW, I was still unable to see clearly the text on this map when I opened with Iview 3.00, so I decided to upgrade to the newest version 4.28, It still was illegible until I installed their High res photo plug-in, after that all the text was clear! but beware, they also installed a Firefox extension I did not want and changed my Homepage! but was easy enough to uninstall extension and change Homepage back, maybe I didn't look hard enough for the plug-ins only because I was in a rush.

it's easier just to save these images to your computer and view in any image view, not using firefox or a browser.

Yes, I totally agree, thats why I upgraded Iview because version 3.00 you could not read the text on the map that I downloaded to my HD but I could read it clearly on Firefox, so I figured was about time to upgrade, and you know the rest of the story from my post above. and I would rather not view images on a browser, at the worst I would use Photoshop or ACDsee.

I use Windows Live Media Player - zooms in and out easily and shifts map quickly to where you need to be.
