Although AA is seen as a Ranger prestige build, it is nearly impossible to get one of these to work. IF anyong has suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Here are the obivous conflict points:
1. The ranger secret - truly valuable on this server -requires 25 levels of Ranger 2. for an AA - unlimited Imbue happens with 22 lvls of AA.
3. Stat balancing is tough, but not impossible; Dex, Wiz and then either Chr or Int if you want any value from the 1 level taken in Arcane.
Secondary problems happen with the special Epic summons that a Ranger gets - it really kicks off if your control class is Ranger. THis can't happen if you go for the 22 levels of AA to get unlimted imbue.
The goal here is to create character who can switch between rapiers and bow and be useful with either.
anyone done this build? Suggestions? tradeoffs to be considered?

I tried something similar (Fighter/Wiz/AA) awhile back. The cold reality is that, without Monk AC or major concealment (SC V or Ethereal Visage), wandering around the Legendary areas without a shield is suicide.
The Ranger arrows are nice, but they're nothing compared to the UR arrows, or the AA gear. The only summon I see out in the Legendary areas is the Wiz/Sorc Balor. I haven't even seen the Cleric one in quite awhile.

Wait for HG2 for this build, ranger/AA will be far more feasible, given some changes made to rangers, not to mention the availability of a 4rth class to splash with. Funky

Funky *drool* I can't wait to play Rangers with the new 3.5 rules. I've got the order made. Too bad I won't be able to play the game even when it gets here.
