Ok, a few things. First of all, Acaos has already given you step by step instructions to get the source. Please try following them. Second, he's already explained why it's not in a rar or zip. Since you seem to have missed that, I'll reiterate. THIS IS A BETA. It is intended for people who are comfortable with and competent at building their own NWNX. It is not a nice, shiny final version with all the bells and whistles for end users. I sympathize with your eagerness to use the new functionality, but you're trying to tell a professional scripter how to develop software when you clearly have no idea how to even use development software. Third, acaos isn't trying to 'usher in a new concept' or any other self-aggrandizing nonsense, he's giving back to the nwn community, which is a tradition here at HG. If you are not in a position to benefit yet, that's unfortunate, and you'll just have to be patient. Fourth, this has nothing to do with a lack of bandwidth. Seriously, look at our websites and hosted files. A subversion repo is the most convenient method of file sharing for developers. Hell, we have one for HG too. If you're not comfortable using it, well, Acaos has explained how. I myself had to learn, for HG, and I'm far from computer savvy. Or, you can wait for a final version to be released on the NWNX pages. Fifth, please stop spam posting. Just slow down, take time to compose your thoughts, and post. Acaos won't answer you any faster either way - we're both working on HG at the moment, and respond when we take breaks. Sixth, and finally, grammar, sentences, punctuation, and capitalization are your friends: Funky

damn funky, i wasn't trying to rock a boat or nothing.. my offer to host is genuine.. i merely wanted to ask for a package that myself and all could use to test and make this work.. beta or no. i have a lot of respect for you funky, we've used alot of your stuff.. i simply don't understand why it it isn't available in a form all can try (beta or no) .. it was listed as ready as of the 13th.. if it isn't, i understand, and wait with baited breath.. but i don't understand why your upset with me.. I'm just responding to a forums announcement that said beta testing was available.. if I'm ignorant as to how to use the svn, well I'm sorry.. i think you'll find most Linux serving server folk would be ignorant too.. Ive seen questions to virusman about his plugins and wondered why, as i understood them completely, save for there lack of source sometimes.. I'm truly sorry if i offended you.. i wanted to help, and maybe get a copy to test and send back info on.. i wanted to be a friend, in spite of my typing skills or grammar .. but you decide whats best.. i still offer my services, and server to test..thanks for all.. take care. jec

It is ready for testing, as a beta. Part of the requirements to be able to test it are the ability to check out the Subversion repository at this time. It's not packaged as a full release.
It sounds like you used a Subversion GUI, since you mentioned clicking on it. Did you try using the commands I gave, at the command prompt? I tried them myself here to make sure they would work, and I did not get the MKACTIVITY error.
Could you paste a transcript of the command line session, in full?

i used a addon gui called RapidSVN which i found in ubuntu's add/remove under apps.. i must admit I'm not familiar with it.. i tried using import under repository menu.. when i added link given, it said what i showed.. so sorry.. really.. no idea what I'm doing when it comes to this.. Ive been hosting Linux server for about a year.. learned a great deal.. like how to compile (even 32-bit , tho I'm in a 64 bit ubuntu OS) i have all 32bit-libs in place and have had no prob with 32-bit.. but i must admit.. no experience with svn repositories or clients.. thanks for replying tho..

Please try not using the add-on, and do this from Terminal: Unfortunately though, if you are using 64-bit Ubuntu, you won't be able to compile a working version without a lot of additional work. I actually run a VM of 32-bit Ubuntu for building and compiling NWNX. Acaos

think ive almost got this cooking.. i added code to makfile and install.sh to show 32 bit CFLAGS="-m32" CPPFLAGS="-m32" CXXFLAGS="-m32" LDFLAGS="-m32" ./configure i added that to install.sh and LFLAGS = -w -fPIC -shared -W -Wall @ldflags@ "-m32" CFLAGS = @cflags@ -Iinclude $(DEFS) "-m32" CPPFLAGS = @cppflags@ -Iinclude $(DEFS) "-m32" added that to makefile.in it compiled and left something in compiled folder.. nwnstartup.sh, nwnx2.ini, nwnx.so and nwnx_chat.so.. are you saying i should exchange for those? think im almost there..
