Sabre, Just re-checked all the large subraces and only Stinger provides any benefits to Dex and one feat towards WM. The other large races do find it tougher to take WM if also having to spend the Dex and also feats towards TWF/AMBI/ITWF. For stinger WM build they would still need to invest 8 feats to truly dual wield while also having to use Great str or con,etc to boost stats, then there are the save feats to be fitted in as well.
Regarding your comment about making it 19-20/x3 I think that kills off barbs as they really do not then gain any benefit over other classes apart from the 2 extra attacks that they have to invest heavily in.

Lala No wonder why funky compared me to you, you don't give up. :-P Not that thats a bad thing, but sometimes it is. But then again it isn't, but then again it is. Depends if your in the middle of the wilderness 100 miles from civilization and trying to survive like I have =) I think the problem with people is they always want the best for there builds, they never go for style on here, because max builds pay off more. Max weapon, Max Stats, Max Feats, blah, blah, blah, its all BS in the end because if you don't get the freedom of choice in your builds and are forced only to build one certain way then why even play here? Diversity is the fall of many, many games. There are also balance issues to keep in mind but sometimes if the PAWNS of the population want to follow popular demand and ignore creativity then that will always be there downfall and eventually people like that quit games they claimed they loved because the only thing they did love was there selfs and there "perfect builds." I built the Minotaur with Halberd for STYLE. Sabre makes some VERY good points, but if the only reason your taking Double Weapons is because its a tad better then your nothing but a pawn to the system. Originality is where its at! As long as you don't sacrifice to much for it of course. I don't think double weapons are overpowered, because I have a feeling they do less exotic dmg then a weapon that wasn't double for balance reasons. That is my guess but I have seen that on HG. I don't logically have a argument for that, but I know its true in some cases. Another thing I hate about people building builds for max power is sometimes those builds are HELL to level up without help from others. I don't like calling upon help unless I need it. I make my builds to be playable 1-60! I want to have fun EVERY level I play. I want to EXPLORE the world without having to worry I lack things because I'm making some stupid build that has high stats in the end. I'd rather be second best in a video game and have a blast!

So ya dont play many sorcerers then eh zero not to useful at lvl 1 and 2 and 3 but anyway you make great points and style isngt the #1 priority of HG im afraid its just FUN you play whats fun for some that means trying to be the best for for me its purely just running around no matter how badly you suck although i would never make a drow wizard with 10 int and 5 con but you get my point as to pertaining to the build i like halbred saves ya feats and gets ya the 10-20X3 crit threat thats most useful for High damage builds

Well lala originally I thought you were only going to require 15 dex to equip them, it seems you're wanting to require even more. That would just pigeon hole double weapons into being ONLY used by an extremely select few - again probably the same few that are causing any "problem" with uber damage. But also I would hate to see the weapons become completely useless for the average build and race, becoming what they were before, the last picked weapons on a dusty run. Indeed what might make things more interesting is a dynamically altering crit range or multiplier, dependent on dex and/or feats, if such a thing is possible. Leaving the weapons still nice/usable by others but with some potential for enhancement via additional feats but avoiding overkill.
Oddly enough though all of those requirements would be relatively simple for a Ranger to fulfill, as mentioned in the dualing discussion. STR rangers get free improved two weapon fighting and can get the two lower level feats from gear. So they could either get around the dex requirement or would only need the +2 dex over weaponmaster which would be relatively attainable.

It isn't, absent some crazy hack that has yet to be conceived. What WOULD be possible is preventing weaponmasters from taking Weapon of Choice in them. Funky
