This is my version of the ever popular Pally with RDD and Bard level combination which has been featured in alot of builds lately.
I am also building this with Treant because I think that they are really cool looking and have some really nice stats.
The nice thing about Treant is that it is possible to get 50% cold immune and 100% fire immune with no items at all, they are also large sized and so can use a great sword and tower shield.

Now I have taken this build up to lvl 19 and I have found that using Treant takes a little getting used to but really if you are smart with your spells and positioning you should never really lag behind too much or bounce off doors. It takes some time to get the hang of moving the tree around but I have found that I can get by using w-a-s-d on my key pad fairly easily. You might ask why the level of bard at lvl 1? Its just not possible to start a pally with only 9 wisdom. I also find the ability to use scrolls helps out as a lowbie a ton. There are even some situations in which using the right scroll on the right enemy has devastating effect.
Please let me know what you think and dont just dismiss the build on the fact that it uses Treant. I should also mention that this build requires a port to the place where you can change from lawful to chaotic at lvl 1 and 40, its not that hard to do and I have done it 3 times as I was working out this build (big thanks to my guildies who helped me out on some of those times).
07_27_07: Finally got Meta Immo! This character has been alot of fun to play so far and I am looking forward to seeing him in LL. So far the AB seems to be fine and I am looking forward to hitting 41 and reading the enchant epic focus book and getting my smite str conversion. Even now he is critting for around 300 damage with the lvl 35 rare great sword. Elemental immunity 100% fire and 50% cold is a real bonus to this build and the UMD is sure useful. Right now his AC is about 115 and seems to be viable, the smites are hitting for around 225 and after I bump cha 1 more point and get the last two great smite feats it will be even higher. I used the regular smite evil and it hit for around 700 dmg. When we were fighting the immo there was another treant along with us who was mostly monk based and moved like lightning, with these two trees boxing him in he never got a chance to run around the board and crit our casters. I think that the much maligned Treant race might be arousing a little more interest, with a little creative thinking there is a lot you can do with this subbie.
