This build is close enough to what I would perceive as a standard theurge build, so that I can just amend this with my observations - I've come to the same basic conclusions (good for me). I hope to present them in a less mucked-up format, though
. It all comes down to choosing which feats you want.
First, some general things about the theurge class.
- A theurge would be a cleric with some improved defenses.
- Any cleric *has* to have the aegis epic.
- A theurge should be equivalent to a cleric offensively.
- The one-and-only splash class to use is monk.
- The minimum number of cleric levels is 25 (for epics), the maximum is 28. 26 gives another bonus feat.
- The minimum number of wizard levels is 11 (access to level 6 spells), the maximum is 14. 13 levels give access to level 7 spells.
- You need the stargazer subrace.
- The build is feat starved, since you miss out on all the bonus feats in epic cleric levels.
Base build - Abilities
Str 8
Dex 10
Con 13
Wis 18 (22)
Int 14 (18)
Cha 8 (6)
If you do not intend to take a great con feat (see below), you can take str 9/con 12 for more carrying capacity.
Base build - Level porgression
Skills, taken when possible: heal, concentration, discipline, tumble (40), parry, spellcraft (25)?, 15 points free
Domains: plant, healing (magic is nonsense, since you have wiz levels - plant is a good choice, healing born out of desperation)
Read the abjuration book at level 40, so that you can take the aegis epic spell.
All ability points into WIS.
10 cleric/13 wizard/16 cleric/1 monk
1 1c spell pen
3 3c spell focus: evo
6 6c gsf: evo
9 9c greater spell pen
11 1w (switch to wizard)

39 26c *great wis 5, free
40 1m
LL ll fort, ll reflex, lsf: evo, ll spell pen, great wis 6,7,8
Saves@40 come out as 24, 18, 37. Saves@60 62, 56, 68.
The feats *marked are bonus feats of the respective classes.
The free feats aren't really free, of course. All of them are as close to neccessary as it gets, but you can't fit them all in. I marked my picks with an asterisk (*).
Pre-epic (pick 3): silent spell*, extend spell, greater spell focus: divination*, toughness*, combat casting, blind-fight
Epic (pick 2): epic reflexes, epic spell focus: divination*, improved combat casting, great con 1*, epic skill focus: discipline, 2 great wisdom feats.
- gsf: divination and esf: divination, combat casting and improved combat casting, and great wis feats must be taken together
- without epic reflexes your reflex save is < 60
- the divination feats are for the miracle epic, if you don't take them, a race feat goes to waste
- you need to use defensive casting mode a lot without the combat casting feats
- extend vs. silent: extend is for longer tensers and ev, silent is for more healing circles and earthquakes
- esf: evo comes as soon as possible
