Guys, any thought, seen the recent updates to skills, on the skill selection of a palemaster???
It seems to me that concentration /spellcraft/discipline/craft armor are essential, with lore/appraise being useful, but what about the rest??
PMs dont need listen/craft weapon, cause they dont hit, dont need parry, cause theyre immune to criticals anyway (correct me if im wrong), dont need tumble, cause were always in heavy armor anyway, our hide/move silently is horrible because of that too, making it uselles to spend points there. Spot/search seems ok to me.. Any other ideas? We have plenty of room to spend with skill points, after all.
Hugs, Nath.

Craft Weapon is still useful for crafting. Tumble is still worth it, as you will get tumble checks as you move around; and I don't really object to extra ac

I may be wrong but tumble/hide/move silently dont go above certain point when u are in heavy armor, making it useless to spend points at them. Your DEX is capped at 1 too, reflecting in all dex-based skills.

tumble will still raise your ac by 6 points, crossclassing it. listen is useful in order to hit with vampiric touch.

listen is useful in order to hit with vampiric touch. Forgot about that one.. afaik, this will also affect your secret item too.

I'm curious why paladin is not taken at level 40 for max skill dump into discipline? Ease of leveling or what?

because you are limited to 10 levels of a prestige class pre-epic, meaning you have to have all 20 epic levels be pm to max out your pm levels

Also, you cannot get the pm secret item if you don't have 30pm pre-40 (from what I recall anyhow).

Is hide/move silently or parry useful in any manner to PMs? just hit the 60´s and the extra points need to be spent now, dunno where lol...

hide/ms wont offer much, although dumping points into hide might make mass camo work a little better (not much tho youll be hampered by full plate+shield). ignore parry, youre already crit immune remember?
