Why 18 levelsof RDD? Surely you're either going all the way with RDD and need to make this your primary LL class or just take 10 levels of it to get the basic enhancements, paladins get a bonus feat every 3 epic levels vs the one per four you get as a RDD so you're sacrificing feats for no real benefits. I'd go 29 paladin, 10 RDD and one bard. Another race option is to start with Half-Dragon White giving you +2 Str, +1 Dex and -2 Int but giving you 65% cold immunity for free as with RDD you are completely immune to fire.

Nah if you're going that route I think the Bard WM RDD packs a bit more punch, with 13 or more levels of WM you can have more than one Weapon of Choice which is handy for dual wielding or things that are resistant to the damage type of your first Weapon of Choice. This is one of the few build types I've seen where the Dragon Blooded subrace is good as you can use Dragon Disciple from level 2 although you lose feats and skill points from being a half elf base.

You are able to max your Tumble, UMD etc. by taking one more bard at level 40...28 pally/2 bard/10 RDD.

...if losing 5 AC for a feat was worth it. Whats the highest ac, a feat can give? +10ac/-10ab, or a simple +2. Unless you really got enough ac (hardly ever possible being strength based), tumble and umd are always on top of the "to get" list. A second bard level will also improve your bard song, provided you have some points in perform. One level bard = +1 ab/dmg, two levels of bard = +1 will saves. maljin

If you take the bard level before lvl 20 (ie. 19 pal, 1 bard, 1 pal, 18 rdd ...) your will and reflex saves will be two higher whereas your fort save will be one lower. Might be worth considering as your will and reflex saves will be low. Actually, if you could get in some RDD levels before 20 that might be worth considering to increase fort and will saves as well. Just a thought.
Cheers,
Claus

Your dropping 8 rdd for paladin post epic and you lose 5 ac? Do you know how this is happening? I tried to figure out the cause but I don't have the time to build this, was hoping someone could enlighten me. Isn't Draconic armor 1 ac every 5 levels?

Tenser's is really a waste of a perfectly good tooth. Fort saves are Con-based, but melee classes usually get a 4-6 point lead over other classes in the pre-Epic levels.

To be honest, I was hoping this build would stay at the bottom of the forum - there are so many better builds than this on the forum that achieve what I was trying to achieve and more. I was even tempted to ask funky to delete it, but remembered he has much better things to do with his time. Edit: (build and earlier posts of mine removed)

Oh..... well that buggers me now. I have a lvl 10 pally following this build. Yours was the only pally build I could find that I liked.

Sorry mcgib.. Hadn't twigged that you'd started the build.
I'm going to be posting an improved version of the RDD build that's linked in my signature (Big Fen) asap - you might be interested in that.. (8Paladin/1Bard/10Rdd/1Bard/20Rdd and a stat setup that will increase it's overall saves dramatically.)
In my opinion, it's better to have nearly all Rdd or nearly all Paladin, rather than have nearly 20 of each..
The benefits of having 30 levels of Rdd by level 40 seem now to far outweigh the benefits of having 20 Paladin levels in this build.
Sorry again.

No problem you dont know what builds I have going, and it is your build to do with as you wish. I will look for your post on Big Fen though, sounds interesting.
