Funky has graciously provided a French translation of the document, and Sabregirl is reworking her Spanish one now. We should have a German one from Bhao soon, so the last remaining major language is Italian.

I'm having trouble using the executable file. When executed, nothing appears to happen at first, then the computer becomes slowwww. checking the task manager doesn't show any new process, but the task manager starts hogging cpu time till the process stops, and the only way out is to restart the computer.
Not sure if the issue is an error on the download file, but I'm not anxious to download a 700 meg file again. As I already have the other download file, I'm just going to use it. Any guidelines on using it, or is it just a question of copy the files to appropriate directories?
Take care kaezar

Should be no issue using the archive at all - just copy all .hak files to the hak directory, and all .tlk files to the tlk directory.
Are you using a non-English version of Windows? I wonder if the self-extractor has a problem with that. Also, you can't have NWN running when you use it.

I've run across the same issues. I've found that the .exe file does need to be opened and manually extracted as well.

I downloaded 2.1 on my laptop which for some reason wasn't finishing exe files properly when I downloaded them. What I had to do was extract the exe file using winrar, and then click and drag each of the pieces to their respective directories (i think their might even be another exe in their you can use).
It's annoying but you can try that (i was certainly in no hurry to redownload it either).

In answer to Acaos' questions, yeah, my version fo the windows is not an english one, it's in portuguese. I'm not sure if that has an influence.
All the other app are english atm.
I'll start on the extracting at this time.

Kaesar, I just have installed the .exe version of CEP 2.1, my Windows version is in Portuguese too and I didn't notice any problems to install. The process took like 2 minutes to appear indeed..I thought wasn't installing anything...but then it started and went smooth. No slowing , freezing or crashing.

I do have a question about the update... I already have the cep21_b version, is there a way to update from b to c version without downloading the 300+ mb file?

If you have 21b, you should be able to play without issues, so you can download 21c at your own convenience (the fixes for 21c are minor and to my knowledge, we're not using any of the features they fixed).
I've been playing HG using 21a for over a month without a problem, but did just update to 21c for testing the newest update.
You should be able to use WorldGate to do the changeover from 21b to 21c, but it will still take quite some time (just because the CEP is so large).

Server 111 is being retained as a CEP 2.0 server for a little while to provide upgrade help. I've moved the contents of the market chests on that server to server 118 (or 115 in the case of one item which the owner also was selling an item on 118). You will not be able to get off the Voyage on server 111.

I was having the same issues with the .exe as Kaezar et al. I downloaded the 7zip file and manually installed it. I ended up with cep2_v1.tlk and cep21_v1.tlk in my tlk folder. I moved cep2_v1.tlk to a backup folder, but when I tried entering the server, it said I was missing that file. So I moved it back. Do I need both, or did I do something wrong?

OK, thanks. I had read that earlier, and I guess my mind just didn't keep that bit of information. Sorry if there was any inconvenience.
