Ok that worked Funky thank you. But now the red cloud is there and i cant get it to go away I downloaded the bete 17 thing... but do i have to delete the hgenh? -LoathinginVegas- If you install it in the right place, and don't have any other copies of the same-named hack floating around elsewhere in your nwn install, the red cloud will go away. Check to make sure the copy you downloaded overwrites all other copies you have in your nwn folder and subfolders. Funky

You probably need to redo your CEP and HG Enhanced install in the following order:
CEP 2.0, CEP 2.1, HG Enhanced.
The reason: You probably still have the old B16 haks in your folder, since B17 uses different haks.

hi 1. about the cep update package: it worked well for me, accept that it does not notify for progress while extracting, so you need to wait about 10 minutes while the pc works it out in the background ... so patience ! 2. are there issues with the cep update or did i install the wrong version ? i did the whole update in one go, so i can't test it out on hg until 1.69 gets uploaded here, but on other servers as in character creation, all the cep heads seem to be gone with the cep 2.1. i tried reinstalling cep 2 on top of it, this gave me my heads back, but then ... well the aurora toolset is missing all of the custom placeables and stuff. so i redid the 2.1 update to fix it, but then no heads. most of my chars have used custom heads and i'm going to see lots of headless ppl when i play. mike

hi i updated to the cep2.1 and installed the beta 17 first tho.. when i tried to log on it said i'm missing the cep2_top_v1.hak. should i just download the hg upate again to fix this?
However i also just did a search of my folders and found that very exact same file in the hak folder. any ideas to why the server is not reading me having it?
Fixed- was a new hak folder in my hak folder for some reason.. other having this issue might be experiencing this simple problem

Sounds like an unzipping issue. Sometimes the directory structure is already in the zip file and you just need to unzip to the nwn directory and everything goes into the correct sub-directory.

Can some one put the the cep2_v1.tlk or cep2_top_v1.hak files on worldgate, because I've lost them when I reinstalled nwn Ee.

You can get the necessary CEP 2.0 files that are not included in CEP 2.1 here: cep20_files.rar (18MB). Acaos

Funky & Acaos, Do you have a planned time for the upgrade on Saturday? I know, I know, it'll happen when it happens ... I am just trying to think about run scheduling, that's all. Any approximations would be appreciated Trazik

Unfortunately we can't make any promises or guarantees as to the time. I am going to try to do it midafternoon US time, and ideally it will take less than two hours to get everything done on our side.

Just to note, we strongly recommend using the Critical Rebuild rather than the updater. There have apparently been quite a few issues with the updater. Also, the Critical Rebuild is less to download. The update to 1.69 will happen sometime tomorrow, Saturday August 2 2008, probably in the afternoon US time. Acaos

Remove the animation fix from the Hak folder ... Change the .tlk files back to 1.68 defaults before updating ... Download vfx hak 18. Anything else to do before updating?

Nope, that should be it, but if you are using the German NWN you need the English dialog.tlk file (which you can download from the update info pages).
