For the multiple uses of having a particular instant captured forever (or until your hard drive dies) in time, I provide the following 3 step guide (for Windows users): 1. Hit your Print Screen key (on most keyboards it is right next to the F12 key) 2. Go to your Neverwinter Nights folder (default is C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN), you will find your screenshot there (In the form of NWNXXXXa.tga, where X's are numbers and a is a character which may or may not be there) a) If you find your screenshot, you can use photo editing software (Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro) to change the filetype to something smaller and more Internet-friendly. GIMP is a free editing program that has a tga plugin you can install to read/write tga files (outside of the scope of this tutorial). Otherwise... b) If the screenshot did not show up in your NWN directory, open up Paint (start > run > mspaint), and use the paste option (ctrl-v). Save the image somewhere that it can be found (preferably as a JPEG file for filesize purposes). 3. Upload to a photo sharing service for all to see. Some suggestions on that (limited as I only use the first one): ImageShack: Filesize limit of 1.5MB, which you shouldn't hit unless you're saving your images as .BMP files or have a particularly high resolution. Several options for output--I usually choose the last entry, which is a direct link to the image. Photobucket: No limit, but requires registration.

Er...me again...
Since ... I dunno... a few months...I don't seem able to make screenshots anymore. I have loads.. well plenty anyway but hitting the "Prt Scr"- button just doesn't work any more.
What did I mess up?

Have you re-configured your keyboard? Serious question

There is a thought......not deliberately but..who knows.
*Sound of a small Japanese guy descending into the depths of the machine to check the connections* Bleep bleep bleepbeep.... A txt-message.
He said it was all OK.

I don't seem able to make screenshots anymore. I have loads.. I bet you have too many. Either delete some or move the ones you have to a new folder and try again. Worked for me.

here's an idea! use the windowed mode then use your OS to capture the screen
(full screen via ALT+ENTER or via teh nwn.ini file FULLSCREEN=1)
then just paste in to your chosen art app ^_^

Was hoping this creenshot would come out a little bigger, like the ones I see posted on the forums so you could actually see the immage properly I'm guessing I am doing something wrong? I haven't the faintest idea what I am doing with things like this so any help would be appreciated Edit: Bleh just noticed it links to the bigger immage lol, how do I make posts with screenshots the proper size rather than just linked thumbnails?

Edit: Bleh just noticed it links to the bigger immage lol, how do I make posts with screenshots the proper size rather than just linked thumbnails? Actually, to be honest, I would -much- rather people link thumbnails than full images. I don't really like having to wait for gargantuan pages of a dozen screenshots to load. (Of course, this is just my opinion and not any kind of policy) Acaos

Well you have a good point, but I am a very nosey person and I want to know *stamps foot* lol Here's another thumbnail, went for a walk in the desert and some hungry scorpions got a shock when they tried to have me for dinner Unfortunately Scropions aren't amongst my favoured enemies so they lived a bit longer than I wanted em to

I am running 'Windows Vista' and when I try to take a screenshot and paste it anywhere it just comes up as a black image. Any ideas on how to fix this?
