Heya,
I'm excited to try out this application, but having some problems. Let me run you through what I'm doing.
1) Copy the archive to my D:\Games\NWN directory 2) Extract the archive to that folder (not its own folder) 3) Run Setup.exe 3.1.) Get the security warning dialogue and accept - install 3.2.) HG server crossroads dialogue pops up 4) Select a server and press "join" 5) The message: "The path D:\Games\NWN\\HGCrossRoads.lnk' does not exist or is not a directory" 6) Close the dialogue, then try HGServerCrossroads.application 5) Again the message: "The path D:\Games\NWN\\HGCrossRoads.lnk' does not exist or is not a directory"
I noticed the extra backslash there. Could something I did have caused the problem? I examined as many files as I can to see if I couldn't manually fix it, but haven't seen anything that seems applicable.

Also, I changed the archived logging format so that it's easier to sort.

...what IS Net Framework?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.NET_FrameworkMicrosoft .NET Framework is a software component that is a part of several Microsoft Windows operating systems. It has a large library of pre-coded solutions to common programming problems and manages the execution of programs written specifically for the framework. The .NET Framework is a key Microsoft offering and is intended to be used by most new applications created for the Windows platform. The pre-coded solutions that form the framework's Base Class Library cover a large range of programming needs in a number of areas, including user interface, data access, database connectivity, cryptography, web application development, numeric algorithms, and network communications. The class library is used by programmers who combine it with their own code to produce applications. Programs written for the .NET Framework execute in a software environment that manages the program's runtime requirements. Also part of the .NET Framework, this runtime environment is known as the Common Language Runtime (CLR). The CLR provides the appearance of an application virtual machine so that programmers need not consider the capabilities of the specific CPU that will execute the program. The CLR also provides other important services such as security, memory management, and exception handling. The class library and the CLR together compose the .NET Framework. The .NET Framework is included with Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista. The current version of the framework can also be installed on Windows XP and the Windows Server 2003 family of operating systems.[2]

Not technically correct answer:
Think of it as a bunch of applications that other applications use to do work for you. HG loader only uses a few of them, but this way I didn't have to code {Please open a file, read the file, convert the 1's and 0's to text...}
I just use the .net framework to say. "Hey you .net thing, Tell me what is in the file", and it does. I also say "Hey you .net thing, run nwmain.exe" and it does.
It comes with Vista and doesn't harm your PC.

I have updated the program to bake cookies, and have a button to load up the auction menu. Let me know if you have any issues.

Umm are there any plans to make this work with the new NWN Main client changes Acaos just released on the updates for those of us using it? After I installed it now when I run the loader it opens but upon clicking to join a server it does nothing.

rename the modified client to nwmain.exe and put it in your root nwn folder (backing up the old one at same time) and it should work fine
the client is barely modified, so if you are having issues you might have installed it incorrectly

This apparently has broken my xfire. Removing Crossroads does not fix it. how do I fix my xfire?
After installing crossorads, I lost my ingame scroll lock x capability to chat with people outside NWN without minimizing. I need that back.
