I have a [space] at the end of my name and the parser doesn't capture my information correctly. I get no info. Other than that it looks great, nice overlay.

Yeah, sorry.. I cant account for that, have enough problems trying to parse stuff that isn't meant to be parsable, and spaces have given enough headaches as it is. And I would kindly suggest not using wierd characters, local alphabet specials and spaces amongs other things, in toon names. I had a friend once. He had a collection of photos of old guns and stuff. Then he (mis)used norton ghost and it went poof. And guess what? The spaces in the names of files made them unrecoverable.. hehe, go figure.. Same thing with logon usernames which have special letters/signs.. So I generally advise avoiding such things

A project I'm working on is due this month, so the development of the logwatcher has been put aside for a month or so already. Not sure when exactly I'll be getting it out as I'm using the small amounts of free time I have for actual play There are some nifty features on my TODO list tho.. stay tuned

I get it to load and appears to be working. But it does not recognize the character, only the server. I am not sure how it is supposed to recognize the character as I dont see any log text which indicates what character I logged on with in the log. Do I have something turned off I need to turn on?

Hi jackpace,
It appears that you just didn't read the Read Me file all the way through. What you need to do after the server appears is use your PC Scrye. That should bring up the name of your character over top where the server was before. Hope this helps -Stryker

ok I did something wrong, but I don't know what. I installed everything into the Neverwinter Nights log folder, but the first install created a subfolder, so I had to move Glade and Python up to the log folder. Then I installed it. Then I installed the dependencies into the log folder as well, but I came up with some errors. I would like to redo the whole thing, but I want to make sure I get everything completely uninstalled before I try again. How do I uninstall the dependencies? I see that both Python and Glade have uninstall programs, so I will assume those will take care of their respective programs.
Oh, and the reason I know I did something wrong is that the program never recognizes the server and doesnt' overlay when I start NWN.

Glade and Pythin don't go in the Log Folder, only the LogWatcher program itself. Put them in program files or somewhere similar.
Once u have all the dependecies then instal the log watcher which will create a subfolder in the log folder, there will be two files in it u place in the Log Files and it should then work fine
That is unless I am mising something lol

Has anyone ever tried to compile this with py2exe for windows users who don't want to have to go through a complicated install? If I have time later today I will give it a try.

Has anyone ever tried to compile this with py2exe for windows users who don't want to have to go through a complicated install? If I have time later today I will give it a try. I actually use py2exe on most my apps, and I've also succesfully used it with the logwatcher. However, I decided to keep it this way because of the size; this way when I update all you have to do is d/l a few kilobytes worth of files. If it were py2exed you'd have to download around 70mb the first time (gtk libs with it) and around 6mb every other time. It might seem easier, don't know. If people have interest I can start making exe builds. Currently I'm a little busy and I welcome any help!

I just d/led and installed all of this, it seems to work fine untill i run the game itself.... The log window dosnt show on top of the game, its there, like when i click the spot i placed it, it tabs out of the game, but it dosnt show when i play.....
Any help? Is this not compatable with vista? cuz i know nwn has compatability issues with dual core procs and vista, both of wich my computer is but up untill now iv had no problems at all with the game.

Unfortunately, I have not seen syn in some time and I don't have any experience with his logger.
