For people who are comfortable editing their .ini files, I found this on the Bioware fora:
This leads me to think that adding 'Max Memory Usage=32' or 'Max Memory Usage=64' to your nwnplayer.ini would help significantly with spawn lag. I'm going to give it a try (with 64) and see what I get.

this may also reduce the frequency of invisible spawns; i tried massing fox trail and ridge and had no invisible weregoats as far as i could tell (mightve been lost in the mass of course)

It may well help invisible spawns, and I was thinking of that too. More testing would definitely be helpful there.

Anything we should be careful of while doing this? Such as not setting it to more than the amount of RAM on our graphics cards?
Wow, horsies sure take up lots of res ^^

Sounds great trying it myself. Acaos have you found out what the 2 other memory type options do that are in the file, specifically Memory Access and Memory Level?
Cheers Lala

Definitely paying attention to this, though I think I'll wait on the verdict from those already testing before experimenting with it myself. Lag reduction is (almost) always a good thing!

The only other thing I know is that setting it to greater than 64 is almost always counterproductive (reports of dropping to 5fps on the Bioware fora), and you should have a good PC to go to 64, but almost any PC should be able to go to 32 without issues (the default is 16).

Har har har! Pretty much everything I kill explodes now! I was going go kill Cesspool to see if she exploded as well, but got distracted. Trying the max memory usage thing as well. Seems fairly smooth, further testing needed though.

Just did a malbolge run with a full party after making the change. Had no lagging on spawns at all, and didn't see a single invisible monster. My overall framerate also improved quite a bit.

Oh, I get it. You mean only local lag, no server lag? As in you're getting the video card slowdown, but not the stuff where it freezes for a few seconds, then snaps everyone back to where they were?
