I'll add some more debugging and update the tool - it will be a little bit, but I will post here again when I'm done.
Thanks, Acaos

It took a bit longer then I expected to update everything, but the service seemed to work with no problems. The only issue was a slow computer (full memory maybe? just a guess) after the update.

After some bad lag this afternoon I decided to update my nwn with this (And Im sorry for the people involved).
The thing is that I have a PC running windows xp and a laptop with vista home premium, Im updating the PC and was wandering if I can just copy+paste the files into the laptop folders. Does it changes any configuration in the registry or something like that that would make this a bad idea?
Also, he stopped downloading in the middle of the cep update, I restarted the aplication and after a check of the already downloaded files (I guess) it started downloading from the point where it stopped. Is this related to your program, or to my connection? I was using the internet normally and didnt notice any down time.
Thx Jonuhey

Running windows vista home premium. Original setup was with UAC on - bat file would not run - the .bat (std) file couldn't even tell that It was in the correct directory. Ran the .bat with admin privileges - same malfunction. Turned off UAC, ran .bat, got [.\erf.c:2057 WIN32] unable to create temporary submanifest file . Opened command prompt, executed the .bat file from command line - same error. Opened a cmd prompt with admin privileges and navigated to the .bat file location, executed, it ran correctly. I hated that damnable UAC anyhow.

I think I've fixed that bug. Thanks, Acaos

Are you running as Administrator? Do you have a file by that name already under your NWN dir under the ERF folder under there?
Thanks, Acaos

Is HG Enhanced approaching a point where it will be 'required'... ? Any timeline? Is there a faq about it somewhere on the forum ?

I've updated the updater. If you previously downloaded it, you will have to download it again. You no longer used the two batch files (and can delete them) - it now creates shortcuts instead which you can use.
If you had problems (especially if you were using Vista), please try the newest version to see if it helps.
If you're using the Linux one, you need to update also, but the method of running it is the same.
Thanks, Acaos

Does it changes any configuration in the registry or something like that that would make this a bad idea? No registry changes. You can copy if you wish. The program shouldn't stop in the middle as far as I'm aware without printing an error message. The updated version won't close the DOS prompt after it runs until you press enter, to help catch issues. Thanks, Acaos

Nope, no files of that name (prior to downloading I mean). I'm at work so I can't double-check but I seem to remember not having an ERF directory? Or maybe not recalling structure correctly.

Tried the updated version with the links instead of the BAT files and get the same error message as before on the CEP Custom file.
Tried it a second time and get error but on theCEP .tlk file this time. Unable to open resource for writing

Gren: did you get a UAC prompt asking you to elevate the erf tool? (assuming you have UAC turned on). Also, can you try opening an admin command prompt in your Neverwinter Nights directory and typing either: GUI: erf -vm hge.hgweb.org/man/hgeg.txtStandard: erf -vm hge.hgweb.org/man/hges.txtThanks, Acaos

I've also re-updated the updater on the HGE site yet again to try to track down the 'unable to open' and 'unable to write' problems. You'll see a more detailed error message; please paste it here if you get it.
Thanks, Acaos
