Downloaded the new updater, ran the standard GUI to update both HG ench and CEP. Only done one PoM run after the newest update but did not have the same kind of lag I had before posting my bug report. Since there are alot of vfx in PoM along with buffing and casting I think perhaps whatever you did in the new version worked.
Will have to test more to be 100% sure.
Thanks for the help.

I tried this but can't get it working. Under Vista, running as admin with no UAC. The command window pops, disappears in the next 0.1 second and then, nothing happens. What did you double-click? It should put two shortcuts into your NWN directory, HGE_Update_Standard and HGE_Update_GUI. Thanks, Acaos

Erm, am I missing something? The shortcuts seem to do nothing for me, except open a window into my c:\Windows\system 32 directory Windows XP user. Is there any point in updating again if we are not one of those who saw the huge lag? Presumably repaired bad models are still okay

It seems to work fine now (HGE succesfully upgraded and cep upgrading atm) Sorry for that and thanks Norrion

Ok, now I tested the newest version of the HG Beta updater on my desktop, it worked fine on my laptop, but after using it on desktop I get the following error message: [.\erf.c:469 WIN32] unable to decompress 387564 bytes of BZIP2 data for nw2_br_houseb.dds: -4
Press Enter to Exit. I removed all the old files from the first version of beta updater and extracted the newest version, same as I used on laptop. I ran the standard version (name: HGE_Update_Standard). Using Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit with UAC disabled and as admin user. The Updater first updated HG ench with no problems, then CEP, it was during the CEP installing the error message appeared. I used exactly same procedure as when I did it on laptop and no new programs, drivers or settings is changed. Enrith

I ran the update through Worldgate a little while ago and had some entertaining lag issues, including some when no critters appeared at all. Everyone was fighting, !render did nothing but I could see none of it. I then used the full version of your updated and its all good - no lag, no funny spawn issues just a smooth run. Thanks its another goodun!

Enrith: Can you try again? That's a data error (sometimes it gets corrupted in transmission). I'll double check the source file too.
Thanks, Acaos

Did a new thids today, same problem, crash in the overmind room. As soon as I port down from the layer above I crash, no way to log back in, constant crash. Had to leave my party since I was no longer able to log in as long as my character is in that area.
This has as posted before never happened before I updated to the newest version of HG Enchanted. Please also read my previous post on this problem on page 4 in this thread. This time I used my desktop.
Playername: Enrith Charcter: Eowerin Di'relle Server: 117 Time: 19.03 GMT+1 Running on Vista Ultimate 32bit with all the newest drivers for all components. CEP 2.2 is installed (the version you get via the beta updater) as previously mentioned. GFX card is NVIDIA 8800 GTS, game forces my gfx drivers to stop as soon as I enter this room.
This bug is definitely HG Enhanced related, since after jumping to another server, disabling HG Enhanced and log back in let me play in the overmind room. Turning HG Enhanced back on in there make me crash again.

I had more ultralag and crashes again in Dis after doing the recent update. There is a bug somewhere in the updated models or somewhere in the other updates. I am using XP, with Cep 2.2 and a ATI Radeon HD 3600 graphics card. Since it happens in Dis and Malad but not in Phleg perhaps there is a clue there? I never used to have issues like this, but they are certainly a problem now. Anything I should check or look at?

Can you check and see if you have Environment Shadows enabled under Video Options? If so, can you try turning it off?
Thanks, Acaos

I feel I should also include my experience.
It's been great, my lag is down tremendously with the most recent updater. Running a laptop, XP, ATI Radeon 1150 Xpress...
Thanks a ton Acaos

Also, one other thing to check - do you still have the animation override installed? (You'll see a set of files similar to a_ba.mdl in your override folder under your NWN folder).
One thing to note is that Dis and Malad have Narzugons, and Phleg .. lacks them.
Thanks, Acaos

Yes, download the updater: hge_updater.zip. Unzip it into your Neverwinter Nights folder, then click HGE_Update_GUI or HGE_Update_Standard, depending on which version of HGE you use. Acaos
