I believe what the blood does is based on race and ignores class so it would effect the penalty even if your class had completely counteracted the racial penalty. I have not tested this but this is my guess as to how the blood works.
Would using the Blood of Uro work for this assuming someone can hand them one? Or would that only remove the 25% penalty?
no drinking dragon blood will not remove the vulnerability, you will get the feat instead. also, part of the idea behind this build is to get rid of the vulnerability through RDD levels, so I think you misunderstood or didn't read it all. Ah nvm, you asked whether you can get the free feat. Yes, you can.
That leaves me at 131 + 1 from 80 craft armor so 132. at demi I will use a 20 deflection so thats 135. This build has a potential 140 AC with girding and 120 craft armor, assuming my calculations are correct.
Hey there, I'm quite pleased with this build, though I haven't yet gotten to the really fun parts
The skill progression is quite confusing, though. There is no summary of the skill totals (the totals in reply #12 are incorrect). Also, Terrifying Rage requires an intimidate skill of 25 but you don't take any points in it until level 32 (perhaps you meant to indicate the number of points to put into intim at that level but forgot?). The listen skill you only start taking at level 41 and don't say whether or not to take more than 1 point per level - I assume this should be maxed out for a tank. Finally, at level 40 you say to dump 38 points into concentration, but if all my other assumptions are correct, then there are only 25 points available.
It would help to have that cleared up or put in table format. Since I've already done that myself (in my custom spreadsheet), I'll copy mine below. Here is the criteria I used for this progression - please let me know if any of my assumptions are off.
1) Total skill points
Barbarians get 4 points per level, plus 1 extra point per level (retroactive) starting at level 41 Bards also get 4 points per level, plus 1 extra point per level (retroactive) starting at level 41 XDD get 2 points per level INT of 12 gives +1 per level Being human gives +1 per level
First level barbarian >> (4+1+1) x 4 + 1 = 25 points Another 51 levels of barbarian >> 51 x 7 = 357 points 1 level of bard >> 1 x 7 = 7 points 7 levels of XDD >> 7 x 4 = 28 points Total of 417 points
2) The classes have the following relevant skills as class-skills:
This means you have to do a skill dump into conc, tumble, and umd, and plan out intim for Terrifying Rage.
3) I have prioritized the skills in this sequence:
Discipline, Craft Armor, Craft Weapon are top priority, since you list them at every level. Tumble is maxed whenever possible, up to the XDD limit. Intimidate is next, since this is required for Terrifying Rage at level 33, and this should probably be maxed to optimize TR. Listen is next and maxed, since I can't see having an uber tank without maxed Listen or, at least, Blind Fighting. Lore needs the minimum for XDD. UMD is maxed at level 16 and left at that number of ranks. The rest goes into Conc, which is dumped at level 40.
