I have a question about this build. What weapon do you get to use ? taking weapon focus with only sorcerer levels seems to leave only a few choices.
Thank you

What weapon do you get to use ? Gosh, here something went indeed wrong, sorry. You must indeed take your first BG level before taking a weapon focus because of the weapon proficiency (martial). Quick fix: Take Feat: Metamagic (extend spell) at level 3. The rest is to "shuffle" the feats a bid around. I'll do that within 3 days (real 3 days). For the weapon: I like light flails or rapiers. Sorry again for the inconvenience. Torin

You could take Club which isn't great but unslagable so not bad also Heavy Mace is actually good and IIRC a Simple weapon proficiency so should be usable. You don't have to take BG levels first in those cases but it would be best to take BG first to open your selection.

"3 days" are over: Fixed. You can take now a better, a martial weapon like light flail or rapier, as your weapon of choice.

If you drop the level 1 spell grease and pick up truestrike, it can be cast at anytime without drawing OA's or using attacks per round for a +20 ab. taking your level 60 ab from 89 to 109

His Level 60 AB is 92 which already includes the +20 Magic that True Strike would grant.

yeah I see it now, he just forgot to add truestrike to his level 1 spell list, guess it was just considered a given.

Updated this oll Blackhand. Well, spell pen is not more needed since BK's get bonus from STR. I increased INT+2 (CON-2) to take one more skill: Craft weapon, AB goes up! Added some comments here and there...
As for spells. What you guys think is nowadays to take? i. e. is Mords still good or what about energy drain or Weird?

Could anyone tell me the point of picking up shadow shield? It seams to add no AC since it won't stack?
Does it provide your death immunity allowing the Death ward to become crit immunity?
Does it do something I don't understand?

I provides immunity to Necromancy and 100% negative immunity. I think it might also protect from some spells by level but would have to look it up.

You could drink a lot of potions for the 100 % negative immunity. But to have also the immunity to death magic is nice. I have it in my autocaster (extended) of my Staffmaster. Even with an item that protect against level 6 spells and below, with that spell you are also protected against Finger of Death thats is cast by many caster monsters.

There is also an item called Shadow Orb (I think?) from Tomb of Shadows that casts Shadow Shield (among others but can't remember what), this is a nice substitute if you don't want to learn the spell, like some other buffs this spell doesn't really gain much from being true casted with improved CL, however the spell is preferable in my opinion if you can get it, I carry around this item anyway though just in case I run out of casts + charges from ur staff (unlikely but who knows and the spell definitely rocks to have, surely preferable to neg pots by a mile due to the nec imm).
That said the spell is surely worth learning, but if you want something else the orb or a few other items can sub for it.

The other option was spell mantle I guess, how useful is that in the high level areas? This is my first char so I have not yet been.
