Please feel free to PM me with specific suggestions for your changes to the pre-LL tag areas. On the other hand, we did intend to encourage party play in the pre-LL tag areas, which is why the level caps were set where they are.
-Most- of the tags can be done solo, but I can definitely think of a few which would be very difficult or nearly impossible.
Also, in terms of XP earning, we're working on adding dynamic quests to the game, which should provide a nice boost for soloers as well.

-Most- of the tags can be done solo, but I can definitely think of a few which would be very difficult or nearly impossible. yup, I mostly soloing. Thats include all low-tags. A few minutes ago a manage to kill Angus - maybe the hardest of them I guess. Took me about a 1 hour to collect helping potions and 1 hour realtime to fight him with my Ranger. BTW: I REALLY would love if it would be in general possible to to every area of the game as a soloer. It can be be nearly impossible from the fights, that would be OK. But hard-coded restrictions like "pull both lever at the same time" or "the immortal crown can not be destroyed by a soloer" are somehow unfair. (It's of course your game... so, do what you think what is best. It's just my opinion) Thanks Torin

The whole point of me starting this was to try and get more people doing the tags while levelling. Hopefully, if it works, there will be more people tag hunting and more chance for those already tag hunting to get parties. I know alot of the tags are most definitely soloable, having soloed alot of them myself, some of the harder ones can be done in a party of 2 or three. At the moment I am running with my wife and a friend tag hunting all the tags between 35 and upwards, we also intend to attempt Xul. Lolth and Immo as a trio just for the bragging rights if we manage it The xp in these areas at level appropriate range is pretty sweet. Water Shrikes for example were giving over 300xp a kill when we did them. And some of the loot in these areas is pretty kewl for lowbie characters also. It would be awesome to see more people running round the various lowbie areas rather than just the usual places all the time. I can't remember the last time I saw a group take on the Grey Renders for example (I wonder how many people actually know where to find them), or actually explore every area of the place u get Lev Ring. Acaos I would love to see some rewards for achieving the lowbie tags to encourage more people to go after them, I'll have a look at the tag list and pm you some ideas when I get chance Cata

There are 3 dragons in the (nearly) immediate area. The problem with Renders is that they don't give great XP for the difficulty (at the right lvl), and there is no tag for defeating the Queen. However, you can get some decent rare loot there...

That's the problem... you can't really encourage what isn't there, and right now there just isn't enough people playing (both low levels and playing -at all-) for party encouragement.
Would it be possible to scale the encounters for tag area's (I don't mean Lolth/Immo/demi route) to how many people are in the area? I see two big benefits: 1) It will encourage tag collection, which in turn will encourage lower level toon building... which in turn means more vets taking their time through the levels .. which in turn means more vets playing with new players. 2) Because there will be more lower levels around, this increases the play base. As a fringe benefit, it'll also mean people like me don't have to go hunting for a party for hours (literally).
Ach... am going seriously OT..

Ok, newbie here, what exactly are tags and what do they do? Just like achievements? either way, sounds fun =) (just getting back into scene, first time HG player, looks like its gonna rock)
additional question, cant seem to find a race thread so, do these tags have something to do with using a subrace too? I tried to make a sub race of zenythri but it said i was missing required "tags"
Much appreciated.

Basically if you kill a boss type monster you get a tag for it so yes they are like acheivements. As for the subraces if you see me in game ask me about them and I will explain how they work. but yes you do need tags to use them. Some of the 'Open' Subraces don't need tags like Drider for example or Drow. If you type "!doc sub" in game it will give you some journal entries listing all the subraces from Open to BUR Value. Anything above Open value can be gained by obtaining tags in game. [EDIT: PS: Welcome to the Forums and HG hope to see you ingame sometime ] Cata

I started this yesterday. I made an AA with my Undying and decided to get tags rather than "power-leveling". I have the 3 level 10 tags listed on the wiki. My question is, is that list complete? It's been fun so far. I've never actually been to the Hive Mother before!
On another note, in order to make the tags worth getting, perhaps some of the store bought items could be toned down a bit and some new set drops that require low level tags could be put in place all over the different pre-immo maps.

We're still actually discussing what rewards to give lowbie tags. If they're too nice, and you can't get them retroactively, it hoses vets. If not nice enough, there's little point in adding them. I would expect something like a total of +5 to all skills, and maybe +10% to immunities...or something. No eta, either, though it will hopefully go in soon enough.
