One suggestion about pickpocketed items.
Could there be a shady merchant that all players can get to (not just evil ones) that the pp'ed items are sold to? If this merchant would hold the items for just a couple of days and only sell them to the 'tagged owner'. It would give the character a chance to get a hard-won item back even if its at a premium.
And of course the merchant would never reveal the 'finder' of the lost item.
This would reduce many of the complaints people have with item loss.
It seems it could be implemented with a modification to the item vault in the bank. Each character would only see his items.
Thanks for the forum.

Lokison,Most of your efforts (ie better creature items and no enchanted equipment) seem to be an atempt to make you #1 on the server. Also, Monks are not made to be expert lockmiths so dont expect them to be able to do everything. Incorrect, I could care less whether or not i have the title of "strongest" My efforts are directed to keep certain classes from becoming so powerful that the other classes are relegated to minor roles of mobile lockpicks and healing stations. Incorrect, i am attempting to clear up peoples misperceptions on certain issues. Incorrect, i want monsters to be smarter and more subtle Incorrect, you just are lets just keep the personal attacks out of this. Monks are not made to be expert lockmiths so dont expect them to be able to do everything. i believe i already covered that with the friendly drow bit.

that actualy sounds like a pretty good idea, the rouges get money and a good time, which they want, and the other people get there items back with some expence

the only class that can be considered overpowered would be a monk, they get high ac, overly high dmg, are speedy, good spell resist, pretty good ab and if made right good dmg reduction
also, i know monks are not suppossed to be able to do everything, i'm just saying that to make many chests only openable by rouges is a bit unfair, a few of the chests i can understand, such as the one moad guards

A few tips: Don't try soloing Mana now. Use the Drow armor/weapons against them if in a dire situation and your items are failing you. The Drow only have one heal each. And most importantly: dont run around aimlessly with your monk speed, spawning swarms. Worse comes to worse: ask a DM where the key is! She could solo it once I noticed it was much harder and quit running around spawning too much on accident lol.... I think the Drey(sp?) archers are the ones that could hit me a lot. The Kyorl things guarding the door into the city proper from the docks were pretty wicked too... I was hitting them for like 5-20 damage typically with Fists of God on, and they hit me fairly often as well, and they have damage types that are harder to defend against than just plain elemental stuff. I liked the docks area, it was pretty cool to have a new area to explore and one with some difficulty to it. I do have a question though: What are your plans for the Drow sewers? I noticed you put an area transition into the place where the dragon in the sewers used to be, however it was inactive last night.

I noticed you put an area transition into the place where the dragon in the sewers used to be, however it was inactive last night. I am glad you enjoyed it so far. Yes, the Kyorl are indeed potent. They are Selvetarm's champions and are geared as such. Fear them ;D The Drey archers are indeed arcane archers, as are the longbowmen in House Mat'Lis'sk. They have the same AB that a lvl 35 and lvl 40 AA would have, respectively. Which is high ;D An excellent question about the unreachable area. As you can see from my Dragons post, we are gearing up to add more potent dragons into the game, Great Wyrms of every color. A great wyrm will be laired past that area (the chlorine gas is the giveaway to the color). You will need a potion of Airy Breath to enter. The components and quest for this have yet to be fleshed out. We will let you all know as soon as this Wyrm is ready to be conquered.

Lokison,Most of your efforts (ie better creature items and no enchanted equipment) seem to be an atempt to make you #1 on the server. Pure unmitigated bull butter if i wanted the most powerful i'd build a monk it would certainly be less effort than talking to someone who stoops to personal attacks instead of actually responding to presented facts. I understand were you both are coming from. Hmm then here is a question If i want a more challenging monster should i make it a.) stronger or b.) More powerful only one can be chosen if you attempt to mix then one becomes the other. Oh and remember on a scale of 1-Oni class anger groundless personal attacks rank far above a 1

You are both approaching a line that you do not want to cross. Turn from it, now.

Higan and i appear to agree that monk items need to be toned down a little. When i get time (ugh 4hour round trips each day to college are killer) ill start checking the weapon types and seeing which weapons hold more enchantments. Right now i suspect that gloves are more enchantable than most weapons but i need to run the numbers and that takes time.

or mabye just tone them down a bit, like remove the 2d12 divine or something and reduce the other damage types to 2d10
