its a joke
what it basically meant was that people in dnd where giving themselves items so powerful that thier actual characters where meaningless. which lead to more powerful fights which ment they needed more powerful weapons..... you see where this goes right?
I always operated on the idea that i would build a powerfful character whose power would be the same regardless of items. Except characters can only get so powerful while the items can magnify power far far beyond the reaches of a characters normal limits

Please don't post it here.
That has ALWAYS been the case in PoA since it first launched. It is a power-gaming server. Items make your character. We will continue to develop it s such. I have expressed this many times in these forums. Take a picture of this post and hang it next to your computer while you are playing so that you will remember it please.
I am not surprised.
Could we use your time better and get you to build items and such for the server instead?

besdies, monks can't get enchantment bonus i don't believe that was intentional as a balance issue with monks. the enchanced ki bonus replaces the need for enhancment bonus's on monks. Monks where intended to need effectivly no magic items and produce the necessary power from "within"

The problem I have with toning down Fist of God or getting rid of them is the fact that there are some monsters that even it can't touch, like the monsters in Loki's... we had 3 lvl 40 monks and we couldn't even touch except for an occassional 3 dmg or so every 7 atks....if you are gonna tone down weapons/items you need to tone down the monsters, too. They are just way too powerful now...

in other words i was going to use the spreadsheet to determine what base item should be used to make weapons. (ie build with this weapon [for balance] then copy the bonuses to the base weapon you wanted) oh and i looked into the bard items i need to do a little work but i think i have some items to help them

It's the damage types that are the killers. The positive dmg is rarely defended against. We have left creatures with these 3 dmg types open for just such reasons. If you can swap out the positive dmg with an elemental dmg and send it to me, it will replace the FoG in the next update.

I have been there b4 many times...
it just wasn't as hard as last night
We had 6 in our party and the fight took about 10 minutes to kill three creatures.. There were a couple of WM's and some Monks and an AA
