Hello there, this post is mainly for Acaos as I've talked to two different DMs already and was pointed out by both to deliver a message to Acaos himself. My story is as follows:
I had an Elf Monk/Wiz/AA I decided to reincarnate to either a Yukio or a Lycan (same tier subraces). I was not sure whether I could reincarnate to one of them and then within the redo week build up another character of the other race and use up the reincarnation slot with it. I read through the whole Reincarnation FAQ and found nothing about it whatsoever. Asked around and got the general idea that as long as the races are within the same tier that's alright for the reincarnation. As it sounded pretty logical to me as well I went on with it and reincarnated my character.
The first character I built was a Yukio. All went well, talked to the thingy got my XPs and all the tags, played it for about a day or two and then decided that the Lycan subrace would be better for my build. I got myself another Lycan book for the reincarnation process obviously, deleted my Yukio character and built up a new Lycan. When I reached out to the reincarnation thingy (with the Lycan book in my inventory) and tried to use my available reincarnation slot for the new character I got no XP or anything, the conversation simply shut down. What I did get was a message as follows: "You have already upgraded your subrace to a different subrace".
I'm not sure whether this is a bug or it is meant to be that way that once you reincarnate to a specific subrace you cannot redo with a different one EVEN if it is within the same tier (sure hope this is a bug though hehe). Anyway I'll be most happy if someone (Acaos? ) could shed some light on this issue for me and perhaps solve this out.
Thanks ahead,
