You can do that if you want. I just budgeted mainly for scythe. Double weapon generally have better damage types on them, and each have a hells set +15 version of the weapon. Guess I'm a believer in "use what you have". If you have all the greataxes, thats probably a good choice for you. Its a pre-epic feat that won't really make or break your character whatever you do, so I didn't sweat it.

Tyran Yeah thats good logic there and I didnt know about the Hells Set +15 Double Weapons... making me rethink this now because I have all the 2 bladed swords and would have to trade to get one of the large martial weapons.... hhmmmm Thanks again Tyran ~DL

Great build, working on it atm myself. using Minotaur though because it's the best subrace I have for the build.

Made a slight tweak that increases the overall power of both versions of the build. Strength was nerfed on the build by an overall strength of 2 on each version. These stat points were reinvested bringing intelligence up to 14. This had the following effects.
1.) The lost 1 AB from 2 strength was replaced by a gain of 2 AB from maxing craft weapon + bard song, and with a potential 3rd AB from items and bard song.
2.) The high crit maelephant version saved one strength feat which was reinvested in ESF Listen or LSF listen increasing the overall damage output of the build.
3.) The stinger double weapon version gained 4 intelligence overall allowing full investment in the taunt and in craft weapon skills. If you are lacking in bur races and manage to get a hold of stinger book, I highly recommend this version of the build. This will be a very productive character for you. (my moonbeam (stinger) character easily tanks the deep hells with demi penalties and is one of the more stable tanks on the server)
4.) Potentially if you are an AC whore you could drop one of the skills and invest all the skill points in craft armor. This would give you another 2 AC and another with bard song. However, the AC potential for this build is rather high already for a strength tank (>135) and any more is a bit of a waste imo. Better to raise your AB and make better use of your crits or extra attacks. For the same reason, taunt > bluff as a skill choice for an offensive minded build such as this one.

Made a small change to the amount of barbarian levels. Extra two barb levels give you the same number of feats as the two cot levels and give you one more barb rage.

Following the stinger double weapon version. Just wanted something cleared up....
If i specilise in the cep double weapon scimitar, i take club focus at lvl 9? And i'l still get the 7 attacks per round at Improved TWF? Does this include using a shield? Cheers

I don't think double scimitar is scripted for the extra attacks atm. I think there are plans to add it though Acaos has a ton to do already. Also, just for future reference...if the weapon is exotic and you want to benefit from some sort of in game extra attack bonus, you must certainly follow a normal build path. So, when scimitars do get the extra attack you will need the exotic feat BEFORE you take club focus.
You won't get the ability to do the extra attacks with a shield until you get the barbarian shapestrong rage feat (after gaining at least 30 barbarian levels). Once you get the necessary number of barbarian levels you'll then need to go and find something or somebody that will grant it to you. It will not pop into your inventory out of the blue.

Cheers tyran. That was exactly what i needed to know and it saved me from being disappointed with the double scims.

Ok having some issues with extra attacks. I am a barbarian with shapestrong rage, should i get the 2 extra attacks when weilding a shield in off-hand and doublesword in main? I was under the impression i should, but its not showing on the character sheet and i'm having a hard time deciding by checking combat logs. Can someone please put my mind at rest?

Do you have all three dualing feats? And if so it won't show on the character sheet but you'll see a red sparkly vfx just under your nose.

Transform into a giant. Then logout and relog. Equip your weapon and shield. When you do, you should get red/orange sparklies above your head (just as you would with an archers extra attacks with DB bows). If you have the sparklies, you're getting the extra attacks. You can then transform into your normal size and you'll keep the attacks and "sparklies" when you relog in normal size. Giantsize decreases your overall AC thanks to a bioware engine "feature", so you'll always want to play in your normal size if you can.

Ok did what you suggested, didn't get the sparklies in giant form, but did so after relogging and changing back to stinger. Many thanks again to you both!

Well I was looking at some damage logs and thinking about Mish's new barb build and I have to admit that once you reach double demi on this build the AB on it starts getting a bit excessive.
Moonbeam is currently double demi and has pretty sick AB. This is nice in the pillars game when he's chopping down other players but it serves little purpose in the regular game except in the deepest parts of the hells atm. What I'm saying is once you hit 3 demi and beyond hells pens start relaxing and you can afford to invest in other things.
When you are at that point (post double demi) you can easily drop 4 great strength and blindfight and pick up overwhelming and devestating critical without actually sacrifiing much (2 ab and a throwaway feat). Stinger could also drop toughness and pick up something else. You basically trade in the AB you didn't need anyway from the demi gains for more damage per hit. This build's "job" is mainly to chop down critical hit immune monsters like pitfiends, so its not something I'm in a rush to do. But if you're reincarnating after a Nessus victory, this should be a "why not now" change to make.

Switched all versions to oc/dc only. I think its worth it all around. I chose to leave the open subrace version alone since it requires the use of blood and the idea of that particular build was to appeal to a brand new player. I triple demi'd a similar character to the open subby version and was a top damage dealer to boot. There's nothing wrong with the build...but I think it was made slightly better now. The actual open subrace build also has more hp and blind fight. The gnoll version here is more for people who want to play a gnoll for the challenge and appearance, but have more experience.
