You are quite tight on 9lvl spells, so I would consider dropping mord as a spell and use scroll/rod (once demi). Besides you don't get to use it so often.

Rain - You have 7 spells mentioned in level 2. The six listed, plus Combust is described. I'm guessing Combust is good (since it seems to be your only fire spell), but I'm not sure what to drop for it. Maybe Vocalize, since Silent's not TOO needed, and once you're Ely-tagged, you can use the ring (assuming you have one). Or maybe Flame Weapon, since others may have it, and fewer have Shock Weapon. I'm also considering swapping Tumble for Persuade. Persuade is also a cross-class skill, but being Charisma-based, it could be a reasonable score, to lower some mob's SR. It may not be worthwhile though, only getting 30'ish points in to it base. With +50 from items (which may be impossible to get on a caster anyway), and +29 from stat (pre-demi/arti), you're still below the 127 max (you only hit 109). It would work on low-Discipline creatures, but not the hard stuff. And that's assuming max gear, which like I said, is highly unlikely on a caster. Still, it's another idea to swap 6 AC for the ability to sometimes maybe lower SR. Does Rebuke hit without any Enchant focus? (Well, one from Tia staff...) Or would you be better served grabbing level 7 hands? Maybe draughts + channeling make it work okay, but it seems like it would have a low success rate. That comes from me never playing a true arcane caster though, so I'd like to hear others' thoughts no that.

Sorry phal, there was no Combust(I forgot to delete it cuz it was modified from my previous spellbook instruction). I have Delayed Blast Fireball for fire damage actually. Fire is very effective in abyss so I definately want the spell that can do max of such damage. Tbh Combust isnot really that useful, for one thing you need to succeed a touch check, for another you won't want to stay so close to monsters to spam a damage spell.
Mord? No, I use mord rod. It's really not worth a lvl 9 slot(mord) or lvl 8 slot(greater spell breach) such for a spell that can be done easily via many other ways. Sorcerer imo should have as many offensive insta spells as you can instead of wasting the slots on disabling/supporting spells that can be done in many other ways. Yes, mord/breach is handy to have but not essential. And note not only DoM stops Rakshasa's Contingency mantle, but Starfire too stops it if you know how to use it. Raks arenot really that a problem now even with mantles. I havenot yet seen them do any area mord so far even with a slacking mage. Wail? I think everyone in party should always keep urself in shadow shield through such runs. It just takes u less than 1 round to drink but yet protect you from so many devastating spells.
Persuade? No, trust me you'll find urself too busy to bother with that as a sorcerer especially in abyss. Also I put most of my starting stats into Dex/Con to finally get 34dex/34con which are extremely helpful against the dex-kd/dom or con-poison death.
I strongly suggest using an item with Simbul's augment on if you plan to play sorc in Abyss. Rebuke, Banishment, PWK all need spell foci, especially PWK, you won't want to spam Div draughts all the time when fighting superior Glabrezu.
Pure sorcerer has +1DC from channel for free, so basically with tons of spells to spam and access to channel for more DC, Rebuke/Banishment have been amazingly effective for me, though the real problem that's worrying is the mob's high SR.
I'm really hoping more and more ppl will want to play sorcerer in Abyss, or rather start to play in the Abyss. Abyss is easier than hell to start in my experience, though you really just need to know what to do on each monster on your class. I'm doing a mass reinc on my toons recently for abyss, so will problly post such spell instructions on my cleric too soon.

I don't think mediocre persuade will get you anything. Personally I love the Pal splash on my sorc, let's me CC taunt/persuade, dump disc and shield prof, and I get uber saves which is proving to be great for the abyss.
I have rebuke with gsf on my sorc and it works great in the abyss. Based on my records rebuke can hit at least 52 of the ~120 mobs in the abyss (though some para versions are imm). Rebuke is also effective on some mobs that are not really insta-able any other way like babau (only MS) and Mymyxicus. Also not sure if you can rebuke any of the Fey, they seem to have a lot of hand-script imm that don't show up in KV.

Good points on Persuade. Just trying to think of other places to use those 30'ish points. With some of the Tumble checks though, I suppose it's the best use of them.
I thought I might splash Pal too, at one point (2 years ago or so), but the way I've seen most people play their Sorcs, they stay far enough back, that they don't really need the Discipline, and saves aren't a huge issue either. The shield prof does free things up a bit, but is gotten around easily enough (pandect, shield prof item, etc).
I'd forgotten about Simbul's. I do have a ring with it, which I use on my Druid and Cleric in a lot of instances, so that makes me feel better about those spell choices.
Thanks for the comments on everything else guys.

Pure Sorcerer free +1DC/SP is just awesome and I'm very much impressed so far. Also I'm not a fan of constantly casting Energy Drain to get extra DC on a sorcerer who actually should have tons of spells to spam with channelling power. Pure sorcerer in a way saves my spellslots. Although personally I have gear to get myself immune to some of the devastating save checks in Abyss which was why I went pure at first. If you're pretty new at sorcerer, I still suggest Paladin route though cuz it's cheap and good cheap defense makes your way to learn to play an arcane caster easier.

I think this is what I'm going to reincarnate to as soon as my BFM has spent his 3 months in his reinc penalty time.

Updated this build a bit. Changes: 1. Changed Extra Known Feat to swap "Flesh to Stone" to "Mord". After some further experience in abyss and hell(new raks) I found Mord is used pretty often almost all the runs while I have never really used FtS, especially with an experienced druid in party. Also FtS is almost useless in abyss especially when considering Cast in Stone>>FtS. The fact that I used 7 full chests of UR food to charge mord rod in around only 5 Abyss runs explained how dire Mord is in need in abyss. Also spaming mord rod on the raks in hell is just totally painful.
2. Adjusted spell choice slightly though mainly for low lvl spells.
3. Updated the Spell Guide especially for spells working in Abyss.

Great build and excellent guide/notes.
Coming back from an extended break, this is exactly what I needed to read to refresh and prepare me to rebuild/relearn/replay my Sorc.
Thanks again, you really went the extra mile here.
