Here's a build I made to try something unconventional. Hopefully it would deal good damage with smiting, dual weilding, and divine might. It also has a bit of sneak attack. It is lacking dev crit. A lot of what it will be prioritizing as targets will be crit immune, so it shouldnt miss it too badly. I went BG 29 to have access to the cania BG plate.
AC is very mediocre. It is acceptable after double demi and a deflection asmo artifact. This build would have to be played carefully to avoid too much attention from the baddies.
AB is mediocre, but with taunt and good charisma and some taunt gear, it should be able to taunt nearly everything that is cursed.
Skill points are problematic. The build would benefit from starting with 16 intelligence to be able to get craft armor and/or concentration but there are simply not enough ability score points to go around.
Final Ability Scores with gear
Str 14+4+2+12+10+4+12 = 58 (+24) / 60 (+25) with str artifact
Dex 14+2+12 = 28
Con 12+12 = 24
Int 14+12 = 26
Wis 10+4+12 = 26
Cha 14+4+6+2+4+12 = 42 (+16)
AB 30 + 24 str + 20 enh + 7 feats + 15 lbab - 2 twf = 94 / +1 with str artifact / +2 with double demi / +1 with +14 str gear / total max 98
AC 117 + 3 with strongheart + 2 with gird + 1 from 40 craft armor = Max AC 123 before demi + 3 with deflection asmo artifact + 1 to divine shield with double demi = Max AC 127 after double demi

Dexterity 8

Shield 8
Dodge 20
Deflection 17

The AC is more likely to be 119 before demi with no strongheart, which is difficult to get.
AC using Dreams of the Neverborn would be the same as with a BUR medium armor. www.hgwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Dreams_of_the_Neverborn

The crit immunity duration and number of castings varies by version, 5m for caster level 30. It can also use the crit immune ring, but losing a ring slot for immunities would hurt a lot since it isnt using a shield to help with those.
This build would be difficult to level as a dual weilder. It would be best to get it to 60 while leveling as a sword-and-board build. Once base strength gets to 40, and charisma to 42, being a shieldless dual weilder with no conceal becomes viable with BUR gear.
I was thinking of ways of maximizing my damage output against bosses since it seems to be a concern these days. I could sacrifice BG caster levels and smite damage to get fighter levels for Epic Weapon Specialization. I'd need 1 splash to have a fighter bonus feat in epic and still have 29 BG for the cania plate.
With the change to the strongheart amulet, it might be wise to forget about the dex artifact to avoid dex going over 20 after double demi. The str artifact would be a good replacement to avoid stun and a bit of extra ab and damage, and the intelligence would help getting confusion immunity without further complicating gear choices.
For weapon choice I'd lean towards dire mace these days since pit fiends have less blunt immune now. Or I might dual blunt weapons, which would allow me to switch to shield and keep a fully buffed main weapon.
I'm hesitating between concentration, craft weapon, and taunt; I need to pick 2 out of 3 of those. Craft weapon would only add 1 or 2 to ab, but when I wouldnt be able to taunt the ab loss would hurt more. Taunt would be capped at 127 except in deep hells when not GRed, so should be able to taunt most of the time. Theres so many areas with concentration checks now that I don't want to miss out on them due to not having it on a tank. I'm leaning towards replacing craft weapon and picking up a sneak attack pandect instead.
