I know this build has been around a while, and the breakdown of levels is still in the title which gives clues to the breakdown and feats required, but i've looked through all 4 pages and haven't seen a full build layout. Any possibility of re-posting it? I just got Battlerager and i'm curious how i could fit it in to this build.

well as we were just discussing the DD portion of this build is outdated. Last I heard he was testing what class would make a good replacement.

Yes, I deleted the first portion since it's going to require an overhaul. I'm very busy with rl atm but will try to update ASAP.

Updated with new build variation. Still a work in progress. Hope this helps those that needed an idea of where to start.

This looks exactly the same as mine now, except its max offense focused where mine is dex/universal with somewhat lower AB.

Yeah, the extra feat is so hard to pass up with the Ranger route. Though I'm not entirely sure which feat I'm going to take since the item gives Epic Skill Focus Listen now. . .
@ Star, if you really wanted to go Pally or BG route you could do well enough with Human as the base race. Though as it is I'd rather have an extra feat than more saves since the saves are quite good enough as is IMO.

Why do you use Dwarf? If you use Half-Orc you can have the exact same stats plus 2 stat points left over to bump up con or wis and also free up a non-epic feat since you would get Toughness for free.

Im making a monk which is based on STR too but how can i get good AC??? I have never been good with AC:s... Everyone elses has always had better AC than me at the same lvl as me.. now im monk ftr 15 monk 2 =17lvl with AC 35.... Gears are good for my lvl i´d think. When levelling a monk, try to find some gear to pump up wisdom and dex to help AC. Also remember you get one AC for each 5 base points of tumble and also 1 AC for every 5 monk levels. So as you progress you'll keep getting AC and may eventually outpace the people around you. Harder for a str monk than a dexer of course. * Hardy Strength Monk AC of 134 fully buffed after double demi using asmo torch and strongheart. AC was 122 using UR and illithid gear at level 60 pre-demi. Built for better defense and saves while starting. Even so, every point of AC added by better gear made a big difference on the first trip down. * Dim Mak Master Not positive on AC since I don't have one but I think it would be 5 lower than the one above using similar gear (-2 from monk levels, -1 from dex, -2 from wis). Ought to do better damage at the expense of AC. While I've seen even worse, starting the hells as a robe/torch monk with an AC under 120 looks painful. After demi with the asmo torch I think you shouldn't have many worries. * Dim Mak Acolyte Dex hybrid (36 str after double demi), AC up to 146 using a non-torch artifact and girding. Less damage of course given the 36 str instead of 62-66ish of the above but still capable of some impressive results (see Dis run on Feb 2 for a recent example (arguably a bit ridiculous -- most parties won't be lopsided like that). * Flying Fists Completely different way to make a pure dexer, can get AC of 148. Damage is less than the above but still will surprise people in lower levels if you use the sneak torch (it's led party damage output on the first half of a Nessus run before, but again that was an extreme case).

I'm going to try a salamander version of this, but wanted some advice first (no have zenythri...)
starting stats: 16-22 16-18 12 14 8-10 8
leaving me with -2 wisdom compared to the original. salamander gets armor skin though, so no loss in AC (1 more in fact) could drop 2 dex for same AC and more skill/hitpoints. the low con kinda bugs me. while its -1 reflex, i get an extra feat at first level to make up for that and i get +1 con that way. adding 2 more to int will mean i get to max another skill.
so perhaps 16-22 14-16 14 14 10-12 8
lvl 1 Monk - LoH, lightning reflexes lvl 2 Monk lvl 3 Monk - alertness lvl 4 Monk lvl 5 Monk lvl 6 Monk - iron will lvl 7 Monk lvl 8 Monk lvl 9 Monk - weapon focus unarmed/Qstaff lvl 10 Monk lvl 11 Monk lvl 12 Monk - toughness lvl 13 Monk lvl 14 Monk lvl 15 Monk - improved critical lvl 16 Monk lvl 17 Ranger lvl 18 Ranger - blind fight lvl 19 Ranger lvl 20 Ranger lvl 21-34 Monk - GStr 1,2,3,4 & Energy resistances lvl 35 Ranger - EWF, Eprowess lvl 36-40 HS - GDex 1,2 & Gstr 5,6
leg feats: LL Luck LL Wep Focus Leg LBA Great STR VII, VIII, IX, X
skillpoints total: 4*5+59*6=374 30 spot leaves 344 (last ranger level) 63 disc leaves 281 63 tumble leaves 217 63 listen leaves 154 4 search leaves 150 (a ranger level) 6 lore leaves 144 (a random level) 8 persuade leaves 136 (a monk level) 63 craft armor leaves 73 38 concentration leaves 36 (dump after getting HS) 35 UMD leaves 0 (in LLs)
differences: possibly higher AC due to CA concentration UMD sneak immune slightly less resistant to dex checks less damage due to loss of specialization option to do Qstaff instead
im not sure how to divide the last 136 points between CA, conc and UMD. what UMD is needed for guaranteed scroll usage? what concentration is minimally needed to have any effect at all? also, the OP is missing 2 epic bonus feats from monk levels 25 and 30. energy resistances(acid?)? epic toughness?
could also drop LBA and get 30 skillpoints more to divide and add a save feat or epic skill focus (meaning 40 skillpoints extra instead of 30)
thoughts? tips?

Which helm grants Def Awareness II, for those of us who've been living under a rock for a year?
