Base: Human Race: Fallen Angel
Ability Scores: start/sub/40 STR 8/8/8 DEX 8/8/8 CON 14/14/14 INT 12/12/12 WIS 16/21/25 CHA 16/18/30
Domains: Good Plant
First 4 points go to WIS, all the rest go to CHA
Skills: Max heal, Disc on Pally level, and max CC Tumble, and Concentration
Pre Epic Feats: Spell Penetration Extra Turning Spell Focus of Choice Spell Focus of Choice Spell Focus of Choice G Spell Focus G Spell Focus G Spell Focus
Epic Feats: Great Charisma I - VI Greater Spell Penetration
Bonus Feats: Epic SF x3 Planar Turning Epic Spell Penetration Great Wisdom I
Legendary Feats: Great Charisma VII-X Sun Domain Destruction Domain Legendary Spell Pen
Pro's: Can turn every critter in the game up to Pit Fiends, Level 60 can destroy quite a few. 4 Epics as well.
Con's: Your Spell Casting DC sucks, as well as your Spell Penetration. I really would not expect to be able to hit much Either.
Comments Welcome. After reviewing Pally might make a better turner, However I started with this a couple days ago when I saw the SS posted by Funky, and I was not aware that Pallys and BG would get the ability as well.

Comments Welcome. After reviewing Pally might make a better turner, However I started with this a couple days ago when I saw the SS posted by Funky, and I was not aware that Pallys and BG would get the ability as well. Paladins can only get a maximum of 3 turns per day at full turner level (with Extra Smiting). In addition, you'd need to buy all your turning domains (other than undead) as LL feats. You didn't mention which base domains you're taking in the post, either. You have one free Legendary feat, it looks like. Also, I'd consider dropping Combat Casting and ICC for Toughness and freeing up an epic feat - turner clerics are definitely hurting for epic feats. On the bright side, splashing paladin means you'll have cheese saves. Don't forget that even if your DC sucks, things still roll a 1 occasionally, so you might as well pack up those implosions. And Spell Penetration is necessary for turning constructs with Destruction. Acaos

Heh, well good to know about the pally then, was thinking that I might have wasted alot of time. This build should get 33 Turns at level 60 with the Cha artifact
I edited it, but I took Good and Destruction as my Domains.
Also added the Spell Pen feats.
Added note This build will not be leveling in the Desert, BUT should do good in Thids (assuming the Minions are Outsiders) Beholders, and a few other Runs, and should really show its usefulness in Hells.

Ummm,,,, are you *really* sure you want to take that build into the frontlines with a con of 10?, and I can't help but notice you are a little short on skill points too. I mught suggest dropping your wis by 2 and raising your con by 4 and int by two. The end result is 2 less cha, (where you swap out two Gchas for 2 Gwises or something.), and slightly lower saves(1 fort for 1 reflex and 1 will, though this shouldn't be a problem.) While this does reduce turning effect, it will raise total HP by 120 (by 60) and you will be able to take another skill, probably concentration. Definitely seems worth it on the surface....

I'd go smitadin, and you get a few useful turns a day.
Does turning but not destroying send everything running (or paralyzing them) in fear? So any normal wis-based caster cleric can still turn things, but just not destroy them? Is rolling a 1 an autofail against turning?

Its a thought, but the build is already short on CHA, as it is your Destruction check at level 60 will only be a will save DC 53, that would reduce it down to DC 52....
Something to think about though..

Is rolling a 1 an autofail against turning? TR is like SR - if you can't beat it, you got nothin'. Acaos

K, decided to go with Kobras Changes. Had to rebuild anyways cause of the first level feat mistake. DC 52 with a bard in the party is not too bad.
And a regular cleric may be able to turn the critters if they could beat the turn resist, howver without the right feats and domains I don't see that happeneing, besides, Destroying them is much better, this build should pretty much be able to destroy anything short of a Pit Fiend at level 60.
also changed first domains, Good and Plant, pick up Destruction in LL

Base: Human Race: Fallen Angel Ability Scores: start/sub/40 STR 8/8/8 DEX 8/8/8 CON 14/14/14 INT 10/10/10 WIS 16/21/25 CHA 16/18/30 I think you forgot to add the 2 int as well. 8:0 8:0 14:6 10:2 16:10 16:10 That gives you two spare points, which you will probably want to put into intelligence. Otherwise, it doesn't seem so bad.

Looks very similar to mine with a few changes. I took good and fire domains at the start so I could get stoneskin and energy buffer. I also am planning to take sun and destruction in legendary levels. I decided to skip getting plant to turn vermin but I'm still deciding I do have one flexible feat in LL's that I might use it on. I might even post this as my first build ever. I was fortunate enough however to be able to use Half-Celestial, so there will be some minor differences. But your build followed mine almost exactly. I do question your decision to take 3 epic spell focus's as feats though. I took two and used a book for my third. Evo, Abj, and Necro. Evo because i got GSF for free, Abjuration for Aegis and Necro for Eternal Return for when I have to run into the front lines swarming with pit fiends and get trounced.

So is the build working any better in Higher levels Arch? I heard about the disaster of the DB run you went on. Also, you think going for 4 Epics is a mistake? I would like to see your build I put a hold on this one to see if the Immobility effect can be added to enemies as I level my Pariah, BUT I am planning on leveing this one next ~ DC

Lol people talk and whine, it was no disaster, we hit no despawn issues. Only thing was not everything was hitting us at the same time. In my book thats a win. The build is working out well indeed and I'm having a blast playing it.
