I was only pointing out it's cartoonishness, not any actual resemblance to any given character. Funky

Not really cartoonish either, I mean, how would YOU make a humanoid fox look? Looks just fine to me. When you look at the shots Yomi posted in Sabregirl's quest thread, the Kathnee blends right in.

I've seen someone using a fox character and Funky's right - it may not look it in the screenshot but it does look pretty cartoonish in action. I think it's the reddish color that really does it.

One word describes this subrace: Furry

Really? I think it's one of the best-rendered appearances I've seen. The attention to detail is good, and there aren't any glaring jagged corners.
Again, how would you do anything different if you were trying to render a small, upright-walking fox? Kobolds are upright-walking lizards, and we have them in HG. Just because Kyoht have fur is no reason to exclude them - especially since many people appear to want them.

If kobolds looked like cartoons we wouldn't have them as subraces either. Funky

Yah, I think this is a definite not gonna happen, and lets be honest it is a pretty cartoony model, though detailed. If you absolutely have to have foxes you can try my fox race for Morrowind. ;D My only Keynari character and her pack guar. Was (and presumably still is) probably 3rd in popularity of my races. They were always short guys, though a bug in the scaling system made them actually have a larger collision box than a normal sized pc, so they ended up less small than originally intended. -S

Hm, that fox is actually a rather bad example of rendering... face looks atrocious. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that this "fits" more with the average quality of NWN models. If anything, I'd say the Braveclaw and Kathnee don't fit well in NWN because they are too well rendered! But they do.

Hm, that fox is actually a rather bad example of rendering... face looks atrocious. Because it bear some resemblance to an actual fox? As in teeth, non-white eyes, and normal non-anime'd eyebows, snout, and ears? Please. You can even see the glint of light reflecting off one eye. THAT is a model I'd have no issues using. You also might want to be a little more circumspect when spitting on another poster's work. Funky

Eewha? You mean Sabregirl made that fox model?? My goodness, I didn't realize. I'm sorry. Honestly, I thought the makers of Morrowind rendered that.

I'm just glad we have Lycan. My favorite animal is the wolf, and I'd be very disappointed if we couldn't play as wolves. Foxes come second, so I kinda wanted to see them added, but it's clear Funky just isn't going to give in.
