i dont think skeleton counts as a race, its more of a creature template (outsider, demon, plant, aberration etc) Skeleton would reflect a state of being dead and finding intelligent undead is very rare , usually created by magic means (lich, dracolich)

I think it would be extra cool to see a party formed from skeleton barbarian (Unholy Frenzy? ;D), wraith AA, PM in archlich form (with summoned Dracolich pet) and shifter in Vampire form p.s. and all ot these having fun with Pelor simpetar

skeleton doesn't have to count as a race, just make it "any". the real problem for me would be a skeleton that is not crit immune (yes, i know, wraith isn't either )

Awesome idea but too powerful as listed for a free subrace and undead have notoriously poor fort saves. What about: STR -1, DEX +1, CON -1, WIS +1, CHA -1 Free Feat: Darkvision immune to poison
This would fill a the hole for an easily obtained +DEX/WIS race. Although an undead stormlord would be a bit odd. meh.

Could do somethign like: -4 to all stats. Who would be willing to take the -4 to all stats just as a trade off for the crit immunity and wb. That severly limits what you can do with the skeleton. No casters in that case...... no rogues....... no monks......pretty much anything is out except fighters... and barbarians.... which is even mostly unusable. Forget quasi.... and most prestige classes will be worthless. The thought line is headed in the right direction but the balance is off.

I think it's horribly underpowered. Lots of classes get Crit immunity from 40+Str, Death Magic and Mind Immunity are from items, which exclude things like confuse which has it's own immunity. Poison is also covered on lots of items, excluding paragons in hell that don't respect it.
Palemasters with Lich get crit immune and water breathing as bonuses, as an example. Granted that's one class but still.

Make it completely immune to critical hits and sneaks, replace "mind immunity" by immunity to stun, daze, charm and sleep (excluding confusion; I do not see why a skelly should be imm to conf per se), replace poison immunity by Perfect Health feat, allow it to breathe under water, have inherent Ultravision and give it -4 hit to all stats, serious I would reincarnate my RDD to such BUR sub. EDIT: oh and it would have the look of Undead Dragonkin from Uro/Dulv, of course simpetar
