i would like this race because at the moment radiance genasi is the best sorcerer race, however i would prefer a subrace that is like half celestial and rilminai. +6 to casting ability, +4 to another useful ability (i went with int) and spell focuses instead of metamagic
half dragon - gold (BUR)
base race: any
int +4, cha +6
FC: sorcerer
free feat: epic skill focus concentration, spell focus illusion, greater spell focus illusion, strider and SR 10+lvl
appearance
adds wings "Half-Dragon: Gold" alternate wings "Half-Dragon: Silver"
went with the half dragon idea because sorcerers belive the blood of dragons courses through their veins due to dragon ancestors

What's the reason you would want dex for a sorcerer? For a BFM/tank thingy thing???

dex chosen because to prevent it being too powerful
if str then its a fantastic for any str build that wants a pally splash
if con then its fantastic for pariah
if wis then its basically the same as celestial
that leaves dex and int
i chose dex because +2 AC may be of use, after thinking about it int would be more balanced (dexers could pally splash) and more in-line with the story (dragons have relatively low dex, high int)
have changed it

Hmmm, looks like a good idea to me, I was recently looking for a Sorc subby to reinc my Rak into and came up with nothing that was better for Sorc than given the stat bonuses and USEFUL feats granted. But I am a bit jaded as I can't stand subs that lock your appearance and hate playing my Rak caster for that reason alone....

this reminds me of when i sent in my 12 different subrace ideas all half dragons i had the metallics as UR races and gem draggies as BUR with shadow as a BUR. i would also reccomend NOT illusion as its quite a powerful school as is, and with new sorc PM's this race gets rediculous.

really? i went with illusion as its a focus i think a sorc should have, because most rely on EV for defense
i dont see how giving illusion to a sorc (even a PM) is more powerful than giving evoc to a cleric
i think illusion would be the best choice but a good alternate would be trans as most arcane casters take epic wall
