A domain is not a school. We actually can do a school check, and are contemplating doing it to give specialists a +2 to dc in their school. Only issue is doing it in a way that doesn't add much to overhead. When I said we couldn't there, I meant 'at present', because we won't add the check unless we use it for the dc boost. If we do add it we can use it for other things. Funky I take that to mean that there is a check for a cleric's domains at present, so all's good with using it in a quasiclass, then. As for giving specialists +2 dc in their school, two thumbs up for that. If that also opens the door for quasiclasses that require a specific specialization, so much the better.

Funky, given posts in other threads by you, how much does the Whirlwind Fix or lack of, for 1.69, come into play for the Quasi-classes being discussed here?

No idea what you are trying to ask, and no idea whether they will fix it. I wouldn't use whirl in any quasiclass, though. Funky

Requirements (by level 25) 12 levels of Bard 12 levels of Blackguard Curse Song Weapon Focus (whip)
Bonuses Upon qualifying for Lash of Hatred, the Lash receives Weapon Specialization (whip), Disarm, and Improved Disarm as bonus feats.
Lash Level Lash Level is bard level plus blackguard level, including legendary levels if the Lash's control class is bard or blackguard.
Bard Song The Lash's bard song is unchanged and uses only bard levels.
Curse Song and Touch of the Lash The Lash of Hatred can no longer use Curse Song. Instead, he receives the Touch of the Lash, an item which allows him to imbue a wielded whip. Once imbued, a whip becomes undroppable.
The Lash of Hatred can no longer use Curse Song. Instead, he receives the Touch of the Lash, an item which allows him to imbue a wielded whip. Once imbued, a whip becomes undroppable.
An imbued whip performs a Curse identical to Curse Song on hit at Lash Level, with the exception of the Discipline skill penalty being increased by 50% (to a maximum of 30 at Lash Level 60 and 120 Perform). Also, no additional damage is done to the target (unlike normal Curse Song, which deals some damage). Additionally, the Lash will be healed for (Lash Level / 6) hit points every time he successfully hits a target.
Bard Spells The Lash of Hatred casts all bard spells at Lash Level - 6. He can no longer cast any Cure spells or Healing Circle.
(Edit) In addition, the Lash can wear a small or large (but not a tower) shield without interfering with his Ethereal Visage spell.

Summoner
I thought it would be cool to have a class that focused on pets to fight for it, I haven't gone so far as to suggest at what level abilities are gained just wanted to see if the idea had any merit.
Just like the shifter is an ability mage the summoner could summon the right pet for the job, and/or have the ability to summon more than one pet at a time determined by class level.
This class could also have access to some or all of other classes summons that way there wouldn't be any need to come up with a ton of new stuff.
This class wouldn't have any offensive spells, just buffs because their pets are their offense and maybe defense. So maybe this class could have the ability to cast premonition onto their pets and not themselves for example.
Just wanted to know if this was a good enough idea to flesh out.

Unfortunately, a summoning quasiclass is a -ton- of work. That's one of the reasons ideas from Hulking Curse and Demon Consort were combined into the Pariah.
