I just assumed it would be restricted to Bard or DD or Warchanter specifically...

I'll be deleting any more off topic posts. Please be aware, that lack of loot is currently the only stumbling block to the release of two more area sets. The sooner you make suggestions, the sooner you get new areas.

Well... my concept for an item is based on Barbarians. This isn't based on a barbarian I currently have, however it is based on my general knowledge of the class. I love a barbarians damage output, regen, natural high HP, and innate phys immune; however they have an ability that quirks me. Terrifying Rage. This ability has alot of potential as it lowers enemy saves and the like on top of the ability to fear an enemy however it is FAR too short in my opinion. so I've never used it on any barb past my first one on the server. So, here is my item.
Helm of the Berserker:
Armor Bonus: +17 (AC Deflection Modifier) Bonus Feat: % Terror (Barbarian level /2 rounds duration increase. Also, if the Barbarian has 35 levels of Barbarian (pre-LL if possible) the Terrifying Rage gets a further +2 to the Will Save DC.) (This would over-write the current duration, not add to it.) Damage Immunity: 5% Bludgeon Immunity Bonus Damage Immunity: 5% Piercing Immunity Bonus Damage Immunity: 5% Slashing Immunity Bonus Enhancement Bonus: +12 Strength Enhancement Bonus: +12 Constitution Immunity: Fear Immunity: Mind-Affecting Spells Skill Bonus: +30 Intimidate Skill Bonus: +10 Concentration Skill Bonus: +10 Parry Skill Bonus: +10 Discipline
I decided on the helm slot simply because you can make a face a heck of alot more intimidating than any other part of the body. On top of that most tanks only use the helm slot for fear immunity, skill buffs, or exotic immunities so this at least covers one of those; but not quite so well as other helms can for most tanks. Another minor focus was to promote more pure Barbs as well which is where the 35 levels of barb comes in.
So... thats it. If the DM team wants to play around with some of the numbers in order to make it more balenced here thats fine because I wasn't sure what a good duration was, I simply know that the one it currently has is horrid.
On a final note, I give StrykerOfChaos half the credit here as he came up with alot of the more inventive things such as the calculation for the duration as well as the +2 to will check.
Geth
[Edit] I forgot to add in the AC Modifier.

Here's another possibility: Build: Hybrid Staffmaster (good dex, great str) Desired (not current) gear setup: Chest: Panoply of Lliira Boots: Boots of the Axerian Grandmaster Arms: Legendary Bracers of Resilience Right Hand: Oar of Charon Left Ring: Abjurer's Bane Right Ring: Mallek's Rebuke Neck: Nature's Squirming Coil Belt: Ainafea's Masterwork Belt Head: Scinillating Scarf Cloak: Cloak of the Elements
Item to replace: Nature's Squirming Coil. Provides LSF Trans for Barkskin (only) 5% physical immunity 25/- Elemental immunity 15/- Exotic immunity +20 natural AC vs. Animals and Bests (magical and non) only. +12 dex/int/wis Imm: Paralysis Hide/Animal Empathy/Move Silently/Tumble +15 each
Suggested Replacement: <insert name here> Provides Abj. Specialization for Mage Armor (only) (if possible and not considered unbalanced - if it is, LSF Abj for Energy Immunity could be substituted) 25/- Elemental resist (optional) 15/- Exotic resist (optional) +12 cha/int/wis Concentration/Discipline +15 each 3-4 wizard spellslots each for levels 2-7
Rationale: There are very few amulets out there that I would consider to be "good" for a staffmaster, and none of them really stand out as "great". The biggest problems with the setup I listed above are the lack of spellslots, especially at the lower levels (the Rona cloak can be used to make up for that somewhat, but isn't as good as CoE), and the lack of a piece of equipment with a CHA bonus on it. One note: if 3-4 spellslots each for 6 levels of spells would be too much as a general-use item, then perhaps a requirement of at least 10 levels of WM could be attached to it (making it useful only for non-pale staffmasters). Hope this helps. --Arek EDITS: - Forgot to mention WHY I wanted this...see Rationale above. - Fixed resists to say resist rather than immunity. - Added a note to make this possibly a SM-only item.

For my bard, which uses a very similar version of Mish's Sheinja's Muse (mine is slightly gnomed) I propose a new helm or two. Gear setup consists of: - Tiamat Boots, Harp, Cloak and Belt. - Gloves: Masterful Performance - Off Hand: Ruby Rod - Amulet: Amulet Of The Pharoah - Armour: Echoes of Creation - Helmet: Helm Of The Heralds (For exotic resists, used to be a Visor, now ideally this would be a Scint Scarf, I lack one however). - Rings: Breach and an Immu ring In light of the changes to the Visor of Vigilance and the Abyssal Helm there seems to be a shortage in exotic resists (that was probably the intention) and on the BUR level your choices are really limited to a Scint Scarf (which is lovely due to it being one of the most sought after items in the mod). What I propose is a helm or two that give exotic resists, somewhere between the value of a helm of heralds and a Scarf, this would be achieved by splitting the main resists over 2 helms, in a similar way to how the Pyro Flow and Wings Of The Storm work. I also added +12 Strength on them since pre-Ruby Rod I found fitting a +Str item in a bit tricky (can be an annoyance since your the designated banker). This could really be utilized by any class, it would suit my bard fantastically however since the helm is one of the few slots I can afford to switch around. Assuming these are going to be set drops from a particular run, these could even be split further into four helms, each with 20/- (or even 25/- maybe) to one exotic and 15/- to the others, so that they need to be collected so someone can switch their resists around according to the run they are doing (would be handy for pyramid runs). In the event of them being split into four, perhaps 15/- to three exotics, plus 20/- and 5% imm to one exotic? Anyway: (Sorry about names, song titles are all I know) Face Of BearDamage Resistance: Magical Resist 20/- Damage Resistance: Negative Resist 20/- Damage Resistance: Positive Resist 15/- Damage Resistance: Divine Resist 15/- Skill Bonus: Parry +10 Skill Bonus: Concentration +15 Skill Bonus: Discipline +15 Enhancement Bonus: Strength +12 Improved Saving Throws: Universal +5 True Seeing A Million Exploding SunsDamage Resistance: Positive Resist 20/- Damage Resistance: Divine Resist 20/- Damage Resistance: Magical Resist 15/- Damage Resistance: Negative Resist 15/- Skill Bonus: Parry +10 Skill Bonus: Concentration +15 Skill Bonus: Discipline +15 Enhancement Bonus: Strength +12 Improved Saving Throws: Universal +5 True Seeing A might think of shield or two later, I think the mod is somewhat lacking in the way of small shields at the moment.

1) Pure Rogue. It's a Nobarian version of the build I have posted in the open-subrace section.
2) Armor: Robes of the Dim Mak Master Shield: Dire Buckler Belt: Gravity Slain (which I just realized does nothing for me now that I have UEF Helm >< ) Amulet: Amulet of Unbroken Balance Boots: Treads of the Exalted (for the 30 tumble...waiting to get Leg. Boots of Absorbtion) Cloak: Murkfiends Molt Helm: To Reign in Hell
3) Dire Buckler 5% to all physicals 1 Base AC (small shield) +16 AC(Shield AC) 25 resist to all physical +25 Discipline
4) Legendary Shield of the Nimble
This shield allows Epic Dodge to avoid the second blow per round, along with the normal first blow. 5% Immunity to Slash/Pierce/Bludgeon Edit: +12 Intelligence (it's a smart shield..) +30 Tumble +15 Discipline +15 Hide +15 Parry 25 physical resists
The reason I would like this is that I feel the Dire Buckler (and small shields in general) lacks the BURness. I put the tumble in because small shields lean to dexers...and those newly added tumble checks are pretty high. I kept what the Dire Buckler gives because it's nice..just not enough. The epic dodge bonus is what gives it that BUR feel though.

I do realize that this doesn't quite fit in as a BUR type item, but as it is set items being sought after, this might be the best place to submit it right now.
Made for ranger builds, seeing that unless you're a brownie you can't really go for the max DC, and with the UUU changes dexers seem to be encouraged more to lean towards being a universal tank, further lowering their prime attribute. Also encourages some less-used weapons for builds.
Blade of Misdirection (longsword, shortsword or dagger)
Enhancement +14 Sonic +16 Magic +2D12 Divine +2d12 Fire +20 Keen
When wielded by a ranger in the offhand, has on-hit chance of 10% of casting Foe-bane on its user.
While most schools of two weapon fighting focused on getting in as many hits as possible, one particular obscure group of rangers practiced a style where the offhand blade, often overlooked or underestimated by single weapon fighters, was used to deflect or even lure the opponent's weapon aside, creating small openings through which particularly devastating blows could be placed.

2) Using Crown of Uncanny Stability, Cloak of the Unjust, Coil of Grabduk, Legendary Boots of Absorption, Divine Intervention Ammy, Asmo Shield, Audacious Provocation Gloves, bur immunity rings, Plate of the Holy Avenger
3) Would be interested in 1 items...
Removing Divine Intervention Ammy
4. Replace Divine Intervention Ammy with Sacred Chain of the Just
Amulet
+17 AC Bonus Feat: 4 Extra Smite Evil (to enable some more uses of turning and still allow smiting) Damage Immunity :5% Bludgeoning Damage Immunity :5% Piercing Damage Immunity :5% Slashing Damage Immunity: Acid 10% Damage Immunity: Cold 10% Damage Immunity: Fire 10% Damage Immunity: Elec 10% Damage Immunity: Sonic 10% Damage Immunity: Divine 10% Regeneration +5 Improved Saving Throws Universal: +5 Skill Bonus: Discipline +10 Bonus Feat Rooting
This makes it more usable as a tank/pally as opposed to more of a cleric user Usable by a Paladin

Got another for my rogue upon discovering my belt does nothing: 1) Pure Rogue. Boots of Absorbtion) Cloak: Murkfiends Molt Helm: To Reign in Hell 3) I would remove the belt Gravity Slain www.hgwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Gravity_Slain4) Legendary Tool Belt of Lockpicking This belt, while worn, adds +3 to any lock pick used by a rogue with 40 rogue levels before level 41. (pure rogue) i.e. 12 -->15 and 15--> 18 +12 Intelligence +12 Dexterity + 30 (15?) Set Trap + 15 Disable Trap + 15 Open Lock + 15 Concentration Spell Immunity: Harm Spell Immunity: Level/Ability Drain Regen + 10 This belt is the all around use belt for rogues and all their handy abilities. It's array of tools will help out in just about any situation involving nasty locked chests and the occasional tough spot. I find that sometimes I have an excess of one level of lock picks, and sorely short on the next highest set. I restricted it to pure rogues because they are easily the best at picking locks in theory, and it takes tons of practice to use all the tools on this belt in sync with one another. I only gave it skill bonuses to out of battle bonuses because well..it's a BUR lock pick belt. The spell immunes and the regen 8 are a bit out of place...but it looked kinda bare. Feel free to remove if necessary. Edit: Added 12 Dex and Int...those are key stats for a rogue who wants to open loots. ^_^

I have noticed that there is a bard BUR belt in addition to the Tia Bard belt.
Was wondering if the same could be done for clerics?
Idea:
Name: Girdle of Faith
Bonus spell slots: x4 slots for lvl 6,7,8,and 9 Immunity: Fear & Sneak attack Sequencer 3x's/day (rest)
Not sure how much is too much, but, if this isnt powerful enough, add....
+12 - Con, Dex and/or Regen +10

Not Class Specific, But Items I Think Would Be Used and Treasured...
Eye of the Rakshasa-Ring: "The eye set in the ring seems to stare eerily at you no matter what angle you look at it from" "These rings were rumored to have been created by a group of Dwarven fighters who got tired of hearing the phrase-"loose Rak"..."
Spell Immunity: Mordenkains Disjuntion Spell Immunity: Time Stop Spell Immunity: Wail
If three spells is too much drop Wail ...??
Teldars Bargaining Belt: "Teldar is supposed to have created this belt for his wife when he thought the local shopkeepers were overcharging her for stuff, as she was spending his money at a record pace" "It is rumored that upon receipt of the belt she still spent his money at a record pace and also came home with even more stuff from her shopping spree's"
+50 Skill: Appraise +50 Skill: Lore +50 Skill: Persuade (Does nothing at the moment but seems to fit the item?) Use Greater Restoration (CL-60) Twice per day.
Knight Errant.

Add to that belt (or as a new one) +50 open lock and/or +50 disarm. Those 2 alone on a BUR belt (no other properties required) would be valuable in the inventory of any rogue. Although, maybe that could be a set item too.
