Ah. My apologies then; I thought when you said "Cha paladin" you were referring to my build as well. Also, I didn't mean to come off sounding sarcastic or anything.
I guess given the fact that the previous post had been about Rapier Wit, I should have assumed you were still discussing a truly Charisma-focused, Rapier Wit-using build.
As for the idea itself, I had actually contemplated using Rapier Wit originally. I ended up deciding against it for several reasons; basically the same ones you and gandoron already mentioned.
It'd definitely be interesting to see how such a build would work out though with an open subrace. If I ever get this build to level 60 and "fully" tested, I'd like to compare it to a max-Cha, Rapier Wit build. I wonder if the tradeoffs would even out.

Chirality just a word of warning there are CON checks just like there are for STR and DEX. I believe INT has some checks too I don't know about the rest of the stats. I also do not really remember where they are but it is food for though on lowering your CON. I was told to try and maintain a 14 or higher CON on tanks for that reason.

theres checks for all and every single attribute of your character. you can't beat them all, but you can try and make sure you pass most of them

Well, there's no way I can get Con to 14 and pull this build off.
Being one point lower on a Con check (dropping the attribute from 12 to 10) doesn't worry me as much as having 60 less hp ultimately, or a few less at lower levels when even 5 or 10 points can come in handy.
I guess the importance of a one point difference on Con checks shouldn't be minimized, but the way I look at it there's no way this toon can succeed against either high-DC Con or Dex checks, so why not make one of the build's weak points marginally weaker in exchange for another epic feat?
Then again, there's not too many options for the slot--it looks like either Great Charisma or Great Strength would be the best option. Another Great Charisma would bump final Charisma up to an even 30. Or just stop at Great Charisma I, leave it at 28, and get two more Great Strength for an extra point of Str mod. I think that would actually end up bringing more to the table: AB, damage (not that it would actually bypass reduction/immunity in many cases), and one more point for Str checks would be nice. Whereas I feel like one less point to Con checks isn't really going to be that big of a deal, as this build is too far from making the check anyway, with Str almost high enough to be respectable for a tank, one extra point will do that much more for getting close to that demarcation of legitimacy.

its actually two points, btw ;-) (its d20+whole stat vs DC, not d20+modifier vs DC)
you are playing HC, right? since most of those checks are in end-game areas, I dont think you'll miss it much.

Really? That's strange...if that's how it normally is in NWN I must have never noticed. Hmm.
Which do you think would be better, the increased Cha or Str?

You'll need all the AB you can get: STR.
edit: i do not know if it is like that in normal NWN. this is HG however...

In "normal" NWN there are no stat checks that I recall it was usually skill checks for that. HG however added in its own checks and that is how they work.

This is pretty close to a no-sub build I've been working on in game, granted this one has far more thought put into it.
I really considered Rapier Wit. Using CHA instead of STR for AB sounds great, but it limits weapon choices severely. From what I have read and heard we need high ab in all 3 damage types to be effective in melee everywhere. Also having only 13 STR, the weight of gear might seriously affect lower level play.

I'm not certain what you mean by high AB in all 3 damage types. I suspect you are referring to high ability scores in strength, dexterity and charisma. You will not be able to get high scores (which would turn into AB) in all 3 abilities. What you have to do is pick the one you want high and learn which mobs cause problems when the others are not high so you can avoid them.
Yes 13 strength makes lower level play a bit more challenging. You just have to avoid the heaviest armor early and emphasize strenght boosting gear early. There are also potions that can help. But if your dex is high, you will get better AC from lighter armor anyway.

Oh, I was referring to the pierce, slash, and bludgeon for base weapon damage type. If focused on CHA, meaning that STR & DEX are low, then the only weapon you’d really be able to use would be the rapier. So against something that is extremely pierce resistant you’d be hosed.
Of course, there are other damage types here that I’ve not seen elsewhere, so that may affect the outcome. I’m just assuming that running a skeleton through repeatedly might not provide the best results.

I see a lot of tank builds that focus on one weapon only. They take WF, GWF, EWF, LWF, IC and possibly OC and DC (or SC and PC) in one weapon. That gives them one of the three physical damage types, and if they swap to a different weapon they lose lots of AB and Crit damage. I think that balances out so using the resisted damage types still does more damage than a weapon with a better damage type but less skill in using it.
I also remember a post that talked about fire and sonic buffs being so much of the damage dealt that a bit of physical resisted wasn't a problem. (That was before acid, cold, magic and electrical buffs were added.)
