ARF2 - HG Loader/Status App for Windows

I've had multiple problems with ARF2 which i have just ignored by reinstalling it now and then but ive tried the simple reinstall and the full nwn reinstall and that error appears every time.

I am getting this same error as well, every time I try to run ARF2, anyone have any ideas? I have tried re-installing and re-running the program, it doesn't fix the error.

I ve just run it and no problems. The URL can be connected.

Edit:
My NWN is direct in c:\Neverwinter Nights and arf in C:\Neverwinter Nights\ARF2 . Windows 7 (64) runs fine.

I see another problem: CEP_23 can not be downladed from that URL anymore.

Where is your NWN installation?

If your OS is any version of Windows 7 or 8 and you've let it default to the standard path (something like C:\Program Files(x86)\NWN\Neverwinter Nights) you'll likely have problems due to UAC make sure its in C:\NWN\Neverwinter Nights and then ensure NWN and ARF2 have elevated privileges and I suspect your issues will go away.

Still having problems with ARF2, I have tried installing it in NWN folder and in a folder on my desktop, I enabled admin rights, tried running as adminsitrator, reinstalled game and ar2. no luck same error;

Another thing I noticed it tries to update from version 314 to 240, don't know if this has anything to do with it.

First few times i tryed to get this to work it wouldent download CEP  it kept closing arf2 .So I got the Cep from neverwintervault.org/sites/all/modules/pubdlcnt/pubdlcnt.php?file=http://neverwintervault.org/sites/neverwintervault.org/files/project/8011/files/cep_2_60_full_0.7z&nid=8011 and was able to get arf2 to run and update cep to work. Then i got  the standard hg enhancement witch when loged in to game my spells were all sort of a black & white /light brownish color. luckily when i was able to log in some 1 told me i probably had a gui file out of place So i got the HG enhanced GUI:Rar Archive &  Additional Override files those seamed to fix that 8).  So then I opened nwn folder from c:/NWN  witch is a folder i make outside of C:/program folders. Then I ran arf2.exe to update every thing again and tryed loging in  and crashed. I got my copy of NWN at gamestop online and found that I have to open the gamestop app  then run arf2.exe. this time it worked wonderfully and to my surprise I now have  transparent screens when logged in to game  witch i never had before.And my spells  are back to color again 8). All this due to  trying to get arf2 installed and some how I uninstalled  nwn .Im not the most tec savvy guy but after  3 days of trial and error I finely got nwn back and arf2 working wonderfully. So hopefully this post will help some one or at least it can maybe help me in the future if i run in to any these problems again hehe

OK well nwn has stopped working again now when i try to log in i get 1 of these 2 things, any idea on how to fix this problem?

You can try and install directx 9 manually, maybe it is broken or you are missing it.

The other thing is your visual c++ runtime environment. If that´s broke you have to delete it under windows -> control panel -> programs and reinstall it

I got some issues with ARF2. Installing and updating with it worked just fine but starting the game with it makes it lags to hell and back agian. Tried the different .exe in the NWN folder and the standard one worked just fine so I guess it is an issue with the modified executable so I unchecked the box in ARF2 so it wouldn't use that one but it still lags so I can only assume it STILL uses it. Any way to make ARF2 use the normal .exe or better yet, make it NOT lag with the modified one?

I re-installed the whole game, this time without the modified executable, and it worked perfectly booting up with ARF2, once. After I restarted my comp ARF2 started manhandling me agian, it seems it when used ARF2 creates a "laggy exe" and uses it, no matter what. Even tried renaming the working exe to the same thing as the laggy backup but ARF2 is too smart for simple tricks like that and still manages to use it.. somehow >.<
