A build like Incantation of Arrows (36 Wiz / 3 AA / 1 Monk) will be a pain to level until DB bows. I think we need some pre-LL AA bows. What about making some rar bows like: - level 20 rar: 1d2 of elemental damage - level 29 rar: 1d4 of elemental damage - level 35 rar: 1d6 of elemental damage The dices are from the table: wiki.hgweb.org/wiki/Arcane_Archer_Bows

I think additional unrestricted quivers would help the issue more (in addition to easing the difficulty to leveling any other arrow-using character) and allow the current selection of bows to be utilized.

It's been a long time since I leveled up my IoA, but I think Balduvard is right. I had the same issue on my zen ranger pre-level-35. The arrows available were great until ~20 and then were just too weak.
I did manage to get 3 caster AA's past immo, so it couldn't have been _that_ painful. Admittedly most of the other classes have grown in power since then.

Quivers for all works for me too.

Boxes of bolts in a similar vein would be handy as well, for up-and-coming xbow-rogues and/or inventors. :-)
My recommendation: Make arrows and bolts with 2d6, 2d8, 2d10, and 2d12 of every element available at various levels (2d6 at L15, 2d8 at 20, 2d10 at 25, 2d12 at 30). These arrows/bolts should have only the chosen damage type on them, nothing else. This would have the nice side-effect of getting archers used to changing bolts for different enemies as well. :-)

Boxes of bolts in a similar vein would be handy as well, for up-and-coming xbow-rogues and/or inventors. All ammo types except arrows have unrestricted random ammo containers available at L25, L30, L35, and L40. The only unlimited arrows that are not AA-only are available at L30, L35, and L40. Ammo concerns are actually minimal for the Wiz/AA combo, as only 1 level of AA is required to use the class-restricted quivers (as is the case for DB bows). However, anything other than a character with AA levels really struggles with ammunition early in the game. To this end, we'll likely add some L5 and L20 containers for all ammo types to match other random weapons, along with a L25 quiver to round out the selection of non-AA quivers.

Thanks for adding ammo with the update. That is something of the strongest things on HG: Interaction between players and dms/builders, and it goes ingame. Just great!
(One minor thing: The prize of the ammo at import merchants is a bit way too high, Imho. )

Would be nice to see some unlimited quivers beyond those of the like hunters, say level 45, 48, 52, 56. Not to mention some pre epic quivers as someone already mentioned, dung only level 4 then the next is only if your an AA is 16 else its like level 25.
Personally I'd like to see the removal of such feats as "point blank shot" or "rapid shot" on some of the high end bows and replaced with something more practical. Any dedicated archer has already taken those feats way before they can even use these bows.

AAs and Rangers get their own bows to cover legendary levels. I see very few ranged characters that use neither of the aforementioned; the UR ammo (~45) and Abyss ammo (~55) containers fill the gap for other classes. As to Pre-LL, there are more options than ever for effective ammo types. Unlimited containers at L5, L20, L30, and L35 with more powerful storebought ammunition available at L15, L25, and L32 for those who can afford the expense for the extra damage output.
