Was wondering if all new shunts overwrite previous shunts? The situation I have in mind is a lvl 40 druid's shunt overwriting my lvl 51s. I asked around for a day or two but no one seems to know.

Yes, any new shunt will overwrite any existing.

I did a DB run with my assassin a few days ago, and I noticied I didnt get either
"Devestating critical" or "Penetrating critical" at all. With a 12-20 crit modifier, and only using one weapon (also doublechecked it was honed), this should happen quite regularly against non-crit immune creatures (12/20).
I also did a Thid run a little later, and didnt get any "dev crit" or "pen crit" messages there either, and its much less crit immune monsters there.
Ill verify again tomorrow with more detailed information, just wanted to know if others have noticed this problem, or ift its a known issue ?

In my experience I only get the penetrating or dev crit messages when saves are actually failed, though I haven't really noticed many penetrating critical messages. On the DB run I did with a moderately high level assasin devastating criticals were relatively infrequent but noticable, and got some definite insta-kills on non-crit immune but death immune creatures.

The assassin crits are added, and don't relate to when your weapon crits. Whenever it hits, it's check to see if it crits with seperate rolls, so the math is a bit different. Funky
