I have struggled for ages to find a toon I like, that has that reasonable survivability and is interesting and having been here a few years now I thought it was time I made my own build (after reading about SD's as a uni tank)!
So here it is, criticize away!
LN Undying (Elf)
Base Stats (Racial Adjusted)
STR 14 (16)
DEX 16 (20)
CON 10 (14)
INT 14 (16)
WIS 12 (14)
CHA 8 (10)
For this build i took 7 Monk, 7 WM, 25 Shadowdancer, and 1 Monk to max skills.
I am rubbish at working all this out, but heres the skills / feats in a sort of order you need to take them!
All Stat Points go into Dex.
7 Monk
4 Skill into Intimidate (For WM)
10 Skill into Hide (For SD)
8 Skill into Move Silent (for SD)
Max: Tumble, Listen, Parry, Discipline
Feats: Exotic Wpn Prof, Mobility, Weapon Finesse (Dodge is FREE with Undying)
Once you get here take SD levels and max: Pick Pockets, Listen & Tumble
Feats: Weapon Focus (Sai), Expertise, Spring Attack, Whirlwind Attack
You should now be Level 21.
Take 7 WM levels and then 11 more SD Levels, and level 40 take Monk and max all key skills (Discipline, Pick Pockets, Listen, Parry, Tumble).
Feats you need are:
Great Dex 1-6, Epic WF (Sai), Epic Prowess, Imp Crit (Sai), Suprior WF (Sai), Ambidexterity, 2 Weapon Fighting, Improved Whirlwind Attack.
Sai are great as when wielded in your off hand you get your dex Mod as a Parry bonus. With Monk you get extra speed, WIS on your AC (Plus monk bonus), Cleave and quite a few innate imms (Sleep, non magical diseases), Uncanny Dodge, Evasion, small amount of Wholeness of Body, Improved Knockdown, +4 Vs minf affecting (2 from elf, 2 from Monk) etc.
Pick pockets is good for looting heal pots in combat
Undying gives good bonuses to saves and +3 skill points / Level (Dump 30 skill into concentrate, 40 into Craft rmour and Craft Weapon once all others maxed).
At level 40, my SD build like this has in my opinion good AC, good skills, HP, and a reasonable damage output although the primary hand is restricted to 4 (plus 1 from 2WF) I have been standing and doing damage long after other party members have gone down.
AC at level 40 is 111 with average gear, Saves without gear are : 23, 42, 24.
Main attack with Sai is at +55 with a +7 Sai and at level 60 you get most of the best SD Shadow Evade benefits too! 45% Conceal, Shadow Step, Shadow Decoy, Shadow Daze (unlimited), Shadow Rift, Imm to neg & Necromancy and most of this is unlimited Usage. The summon Shadow you can get is not bad in LL!
it isn't the neatest laid out Build, but i think you get the jist - All comments welcome!
Once past 40 I plan to take Armour Skin, great Dex VI & Improved 2 WPN Fighting.
