when I start NWN it starts fine. If I start it with your tool it typically crashes on video issues. I'm not sure why. People have told me I can start it after NWN but when I try that it seems to start another instance of NWN. Any thoughts?

HGX only starts a new client if either NWN isn't running at all or if all running NWN instances have HGX attached to it already.
And unless you are a little bit more descriptive about the crash there is nothing I can do.

Update 2012-06-11: -Know Vulnerability can be used again to add mobs to the database -HGX no longer shows up in the task switcher -redesigned the mage tab -HGX should be more stable in high load scenarios

KV cast by my bard is working great now! thanks! My Gnomish inventor can cast KV via his helmet buff, X-Ray Goggles, but he does not receive the "xxxx successfully added to database" response that my bard does. Is this because his spell use is "Amplify ulimited uses per day" as opposed to kv?

Yes, if you can give me the exact log output when you use the goggles I will add it.

I'm about to do an update that enabled scripting support (IronPython) to allow players to write their own small plugins.
Before doing that I would like to close all remaining open bugs, so if you have any bugs to report please do so. Also let me know if you already have reported a bug and it is not fixed yet, I might have missed it then.

I've been using this more and more, especially since your fix to the windowed mode, off-screen clicky thing Have you fixed the click-area for the party list? Sometimes, when trying to get rid of the mobs or objects that get put into my party, I have to click below the X to get them to leave. Something I've been meaning to ask has to do with starting HGX with NWN already running. Sometimes HGX starts up properly, other times an HGX process starts up but nothing happens, and sometimes it opens up a new NWN window. I don't know if this is related to my multi-boxing setup, but I generally go through this sequence when I play: - start ARF2 and select a server - when the server is loaded, run HGX Thanks for all your great work! - Niilo

Should the new version still work on linux? The new version doesn't work with linux right now. With regards to the click-area: I couldn't find anything wrong with it, but there are two issues which might lead to the impression you described. First the overlay isn't redrawn right away after you click, there might be a potential delay up to 0.5 seconds. My next update will fix this. And second some of the cursors NWN uses have their center, i.e. the coordinate where the click occurs, at a funny place, i.e. the hand cursor has its center in the middle of the hand. I can also not understand how you have problems starting HGX. In general it works like this: when you start HGX it looks through all the running NWN processes to find one which does not yet have a HGX instance running with it. If it found one it will connect to that NWN process. If not it will start another NWN instance. When you said "... other times an HGX process starts up but nothing happens ...", did you use the scry tool? Most of the windows of HGX will only show if your character has been detected. And if you use a multi-box setup with two different log folders (e.g. if you installed NWN twice into two different folders) then you should also install HGX into two folders. If not you risk that the wrong log folder is read. how do I get to the config portion? I need to make a couple of changes in the setup. Thanks. Right click on the system tray icon, select options. Or delete the config file.

Could you add compatibility with Rooj exe file for dual box please? The "nwmain001.exe" file. I use this mostly for my second account but if I have it open and I start HGX it will start a new nwn process by calling the original nwmain.exe file.
Would be very apreciated, but not sure how many out there use this exe to be actually useful for others instead than only to myself.

Why don't you simply rename the modified exe to nwmain.exe?
The technical reason for this is that every time the Hgx.Server.dll is loaded by ANY process it tries to modify the process memory. If it isn't the NWN process this will almost certainly lead to a crash. So I only allow it for the NWN process which I determine by the executable's name.

So I only allow it for the NWN process which I determine by the executable's name. nwmain001.exe is a second exe file that calls for 001cdkey.ini and 001player.ini files instead of the usual ones, I also must keep the normal nwmain.exe file in the NWN folder so that I can run two instances of nwn with 2 different keys and configurations without needing batch files or having 2 copies of NWN in the HD, so I can't rename it as you say. But it's no big deal, really.
