From February on I will most likely not be able to play often for a month or two and will only have my Linux notebook instead of my Windows desktop.
Since it's running Linux I also won't be able to release new HGX versions for that time. On the other hand I will then have the time to look into getting HGX to run on Linux.

Sad that you won't be able to play, HOWEVER, if HGX running on linux became a reality, that would be INCREDIBLE and AWESOME. Cheers, Madzapper

If I manage to develop a Linux client then it will only support the most basic features, i.e. display overlays and reacting to mouse clicks, keyboard input and !echo commands.
It will not feature any of the more advanced stuff like writing to the chat log, adding map pins, detecting the player character and things like that.

HGX 2.8.5 is available for download. The major change is that I have fully included IronPython and it's standard library in the build. This means everyone has scripting support regardless of whether IronPython has been installed or not. -IronPython integrated in the release -new options dialog -target information can now display whether the enemy you hit should better not be hit

for some reason HGX was unable to load Reportin and Scriptin dll files.

I got it work after adding this line to hgx config in runtime section <loadFromRemoteSources enabled="true"/>
Using .NET framework 4.5, running HGX as administrator and using windows 7

I think this can happen if you copy an application or its DLLs from the web or a network share. Windows then flags it as coming from an unsecure source. As far as I know this should not happen if you download the application as an archive and extract it locally.

I run linux too, and there is nothing more frustrating than having a noob tell me "don't hit that with xxxx, you're healing it." If hgx were available to linux that would be freakin great. Not to mention the stats i sometimes miss, i.e. kills, damage, etc. I sure hope you can swing it. Pin

The logger doesn't read the stats for pick up other when using purple dragon knight "final stand" class feature.

What are the log messages when you use that ability?

There's no message in the log when PDK final stand is used. Folks just stand up.

In that case there is no way HGX could recognize it.

Can I export HGX's logged data?

I guess you want to export the log as summary HTML page? I haven't written anything for that, but Salek has a IronPython script that can do that.
