-Monster critical ranges and multipliers have received the first stage of major mod-wide adjustments. Monitoring will continue; please continue to post your impressions and information on the fora. -Playername port binding (from the 6-27 update) has been changed to use CD key. If you crash out or log out improperly and wish to log in from a different CD key on the same computer, you will need to log back in and out before you can do so. -Weapon buffs will now automatically recharge from a memorized copy possessed by the caster if possible after the caster rests or relogs, preventing their degradation. Use the '!opt autorebuff' SIMtools command to toggle this behavior. -The '!invishelm' SIMtools command has been changed to '!opt invishelm'. Two other commands have been added, '!opt autorebuff' and '!opt shifterfix'. See the Class and Ability board in the Docks for details. -Spellcasters can now list and cancel spells they have cast with the '!effects' and '!cancel' SIMtools commands. See the Class and Ability board in the Docks for details. -Bug and exploit fixes.

not sure, if i was as clear as i could be there. let me rephrase please:
does the weapon buff insta recast itself after rest, if the old version is still on the weapon?
ie: does that mean, that things like bg's death's kiss, ass's poison weapon and self cast weapon buffs, if you have the spell in your spell book, now just stay on the weapon indefinitely as long as you rest before duration runs out?
what happens, if the castee (is that a word?) relogs/crashes?

No, the duration never increases unless you actually recast the spell rather than letting the auto-recaster do it for you. But they do last their full duration as cast, as long as you keep them memorized when you rest.

They do not stay on the weapon indefinitely. Duration is determined by the initial casting; the auto-recaster only spends the spell to keep it from degrading (it would be very nice to have it completely refresh the spell, but that's not possible due to some limitations in the scripting engine). If you want to increase the duration to maximum after time has passed, you will need to cast the buff again yourself. But as long as you keep the spell memorized, it will last as long as a perm would have before, with no need to relog. If the castee relogs/crashes, things should continue working just fine. The buff will stay associated with the caster. Acaos

bg death's kiss weapon buff does not get renewed. says no uses available even when they are (first fight after rest). Will be fixed with the BG spells next update. I'll try to fix assassin's poison buff too, but that might have to wait for assassin spells if we do those. Acaos

ranger spells no longer stick around when I relog or crash. (like half the level 1 an 2 ones stay but the other half of them and all the level 3 and 4 ones are gone)

I'll look into this. Thanks for the report.
It's a crafting error, so if you see it, someone is crafting and they've hit a bad part or something.

I've tried a few area's and seen a vast improvement in terms of difficulty compared to the 27/6 update and can see allot of work is being done. Thanks.

Just like to say you'll never see me playing a melee character that can't self buff in LL areas and hells from now on, the GMW script ruined it for me. Tried it again today and couldn't get weapon buffs from my party, and when I got them from my own caster it wore off after about 5 minutes.
