True fear immunity is only useful in Elysium, where one of the minibosses has a fear check that bypasses normal fear immunity, and in 2 places in the abyss: Thanatos vs Death Knights (I think pally fear imm covers this, but may be wrong) and Shedekiah vs Mushrooms that cause fear (basically a fear check that results from standing in certain places).
Both Bards and Warchanters have counters to the Ely Mini and the Shed mushrooms, but I prefer not to rely on that if I can avoid it.

Superior and Elite Excruciarch's also bypass normal fear immunity iirc.

Always happy to answer questions about this: chirality: I liked Torin's idea of a 3rd Pally Level and a player that would like to go that route can do so. I would not use it in the primary build because of the XP penalty. I have slogged up to 125 mil xp several times now, and it takes a very very long time. With Paragon levels dropping soon I feel that recommending a build with XP pens would not be the best way to introduce new players to Higher Ground. arek Yep, and add to that list Grazt'z he true fears. @ke, yep good point. Also I discovered that NWN Wiki has an error which shows no requirement for Parry when in fact in requires Int 13+. Thus if a player uses the Uro blood option I am now leaning toward Greater Weapon Specialization plus Weapon Focus Throwing Axes. I am currently building a bear now and will soon be posting a blog of the experience in this section. Thus look for Bear Adventures to start poping up soon. Bad

Interesting, thanks for the list of "normal fear bypassers" guys.

Started the "Bear with Me" section, added a background for my bear, as well as posting experiences from levels 1-15.

One thing that I noticed on a few other builds, but missed here was the "race upgrade" opportunity. It would be nice to help newbies out by giving the a list of races that will work with little or no adjustment (making them stronger to boot).

Once again glad to get your input Uncanny, I like it and will include it in the final, final edit.
Obviously there are very few matched sets of koly books roaming around at the moment so may have to get creative to give new players a realistic chance at an upgrade strategy.

P.S. The Bear is currently at Level 53 and I am waiting for some deeper hells to really give me a feel of any issues.

Oh yes, he does! The Bug Bear experiment has been successfully concluded! Tale of the Tape:
14 days to Demigod-hood Super solid tank. Very fun to play. Great Bug Bear banter! (We were laughing ourselves silly on skype)
0 Deaths in Nessus on an open subbie front line tank dressed in what he could find or borrow along his way!
No GS, or Epic wall on Asmo entry just strait up toe to toe!
Bur performance on an open subbie!
Fully battle tested and verified.
Give this Build a try!

Wow, awesome! Congrats on your success.

P.S.: I recommended this build to my friend, Ian. He's started and is eager to get going with it (but doesn't play that often).

@ Niilo: Thank you I know he will enjoy playing it and would advise him to have fun with role playing the bear and the banter that goes with it.
@uncanny: I just added a Subrace Upgrade section using Stinger.
I felt it would be a waste of time to discuss Koly or Zenti reincarnations as finding 2 such books is not realistic atm.
@the community: I am kinda sorry to end the experiment and thus was wondering if I should take my own advise and reincarnate to a Stinger for fun and to continue the next version of this build?
Or to push the absolute limits of the build using Zentiri. My preliminary calculations show this as topping out at 148-150 AC dual wielding with 110 ab or so, crazy saves and all the extras.
Would be interested to hear opinions on the matter.

Disregarding XP issues, Wemic seems like it should be a reasonable upgrade and it is usually much easier to get than other subraces. Did you have any thoughts on this? It sounds like something I would like to build as I have wanted a decent tank build and I have Wemic available to me. Cheers

Hey Madzapper, Yep Wemic would be a fine choice and if you have one go for it would suggest checking starting strength and making sure you can hit 44 for PF checks. After that you are golden the thing will be a beast, oh wait Wemic is a beast . Happy Hunting, Bad

Hey bad perhaps I am wrong, but I can not activate flurry mode with nunchakus. So I only get 9 attacks per round, not 10.

You are correct lee until flurry for nunchaku is fixed it is 9 I added a note to the build pros section.
Thank you for the catch.

I think this is a good fighter build. The challenge with fighter is what to do with all the feats. This one focuses on # of attacks, which is always a good bet and the pursuit of that eats up a lot of feats. Unitankish is a nice feature also. Why isn't improved parry on the main build? I couldn't find it and I consider it essential to the "fighter experience". You don't get a whole lot for being a fighter, so a personal immute is nice . I like the stat charts in black. The main part of the build is too busy. It is actually hard to follow. I think it detracts from a pretty good build.
