DDs are not immobile with it. We tried several ways of immobilizing them, but all methods drop Dexterity to 3, with the attendant damage to AC and Reflex saves. Acaos Wow, looks like I will probably do a DD instead of RDD now. Lala

it would appear only str chars are getting the new dev crits... I have been away for a week, and have been trying to read as much as possible before posting, but I seem to be a bit unclear on "the new dev crits". Any clarification (from anyone would be most helpful. Trazik

I think starlanda meant critical immunity not dev crits. Some of the BG spells state improvements post level 50, as its only possible to get 50 levels of BG am I missing something?

No they specifically say caster level not character level.

They are listed that way just in case some future quasiclass comes along that lets you add levels from multiple classes for blackguard spells.

Does this leave CC RDD as the poor relative of the Str melee classes as I don't remember them getting any immunity to criticals tweaks.

Right now, Lashes do not get bonus casterlevels on any BG spells. Nor do Bane Knights. That might change in the future, but not right this instant.

Well now pretty much all str tanks got immunity to critical hits, and as hells are mostly str tanks playground (with the exception of like 1 dexer per 10 runs) wont this break spawns crits completly ? And there will be now even greater gap between dex and str tanks, knockdown etc already makes dexers tricky to play, i know they have higher ac but str tanks can score 130 ac + easily, and 20 rolls happens . Could there be some recharge timer added to those critical hit immunity abilites, so tank can use it like once for 5 mins every 20 mins or something like that, and could it be considered str requirment for those abilites gets removed.

I'm inclined to agree with Vel on this one. This is widening the gap between Str and Dex. I understand the Devs likely do not want "non-tanks" gaining the benefits of Crit immunity; but dexers can be tanks too. With more ac on Plates than Robes, Shields and Ammy's that grant more AC if you meet a Str requirement; this makes the difference in AC between Str and Dex only a few points, and quite possibly the same if you have Rdd/pm/tumble class. I'd rather see the main thing distinguishing str and dex be their damage and ac. And if str gets crit immunity so should dex equivalents. Just make sure it excludes all casters. And I agree with the crit immunity timer; there needs to be one added so Str tanks cant stay immune for majority of the time.

My take on the tank crit immunity is to ask; Was the intention to give most but not all str tanks crit immunity all the time or between some-most of time? The closest example I can come up with is the Bard epic immunity, it 1st started off being quite a long duration for the nice one and was reduced to make it more tactical.
My perception is that the immunity so far is meant to be all the time, but then this makes the divide much larger with the Str builds that do not benefit suffering greatly. If the immunity is then expanded to include these other str builds it then raises the point made by Vel regarding the loss of the crits purpose. Lala

Well my paladin is resting like once per map or per 2 maps, and now with death ward buff, well they can just rest when they run out of all death wards, with 15 rests it wont be problem at all to keep crit immunity full run, and defensive weave/stoneguard is almost unlimited.
