Hmmm Bane is an interesting twist, I like that . With LWF you'll get some extra cutting power to boot. I would run this through the test chamber and get some AB/AC/Saves confirmations (you can work these out tbh, but I always feel more comfortable with !list results). LWF should give you an extra 3ab with prowess.
Are you sure you have enough to max all those skills? I think you can do four or five with some left over, not sure about eight (worth testing). Animal Empathy might be of no use to the build.. I believe it only influences spells and ability damage like lore does on some casters (as I understand it anyhow), of which you only really have one ability that you'll use a lot (kobold trap): and the damage there is pretty sad once you hit upper LL anyhow, even with max AE as I have on my version of this I get very poor damage.
Skill points are gonna work out: Per level you get 4 from ranger/druid/shifter, 1 from human and 3 from int, so you can max 8 skills.
I'd drop AE to 1 (for the Oltum or other things before lvl 20) or two points as well though...unless you really want to emp animals.
AE does two things for a shifter: it boosts damage of abilities like lore does for casters (things like manti spikes, drider missiles or baelnorn posiFoD are not affected, same as lore doesn't affect magic missiles, horrids or FoDs) and it boosts harpy and leonal song similar to perform for bards.
Since all shifter abilities don't count ranger levels for effectiveness, damage from those will be lousy anyway with CC ranger. Kobold traps don't factor in ranger levels either, so it'll do poor damage regardless of foci, wis score or AE for this build. Same for harpy song. While you can use it, it only counts shifter (and not even druid levels), so you're looking at a plain lvl 13 curse song.
I'd drop int by 2 for more con or take search instead of AE. Shifters have quite a lot of freedom in choosing their gear (no spell slots needed, shield ac doesn't matter, some forms give survival abilities) so finding and using some search gear for LL secrets shouldn't be that hard.
For a level 40 shifter you'll have to go to the test chamber, since the stats on the wiki are all listed for lvl 60 shifters with LFF3.
As for the lvl 60 char I think this post is exactly what you're looking for. I'll check it again though, maybe you gotta make some minor adjustments.
: - the build in the linked post doesn't have all weapon focus feats, just add 4 ab for yours. - you don't have any saving throw feats so subtract 4 fort and 6 reflex; your will save will be a bit higher. - and make sure you're reading the second part of that post only, the upper part is for an open subby wm.
How would you level this? Like, dress like a tank, shift then tank or just tank in human form? How would it do shifted then tanking as the lizardfolk pre-legendary form focus? Really want to level this but worried it might be a bit rough, so any help with be great!
