EDIT: If I was to reinc my barbarian today I would go 31barb/4fight/5WM. There is nothing wrong with this build, it will get you top damage/tanking 90% of the time, but in my experience the fighter splash adds more.

This build is a combination of Dig’s Brutal Barbarian and Elven’s Harper’s Wrath. It uses a Scythe (Halbred is an excellent choice as well). Demi not required, but makes the final stats better.
Pros: Very high HP, very uni dex/str, high physical immunities, high damage, mid 130s AC, 100+AB.
Cons: Swapping weps on a barb is very annoying, can be slagged, mediocre saves.

Gear Setup:
Wep: I use a DB primarily, see Rain’s staffy build for suggested crafting. In general having sonic on your wep does nothing, so you can craft to not have it. On the other hand, that’s one more elite you can’t hit because of healing, so it’s a toss-up.
Mote: Ely motes, +CA/CW, +listen, whatever you have
Belt: Asmo Belt gives you +16s at 65, and +4 to dex/str checks. I have a 49 effective dex check at L70.
Neck: Strongheart, Pharoahs, ect
Gloves: Audacious Provocation (well randomized) gives Dis/intim/Taunt. Asmo gloves are another option for the sneak attack.
Cloak: Cloak of the Unjust, immunities
Boots: Harper Boots
Helm: Visor of Vigilance, ESF Listen and Defensive2, very handy.
Shield: Shattered Innocence
Rings: The only buff you’re generally protecting is displacement, so mord/breach is a little more optional than most classes.
How to play:
You will use Shapestrong (class secret) to go large sized, equip Scythe + Shield, then use item again to go back to medium. This gives you a very nice dmg increase.
Harper Boots give you 2 extra attacks a round, and speed. It only lasts 5 mins or so, so don’t turn it on until you’re ready to go into combat.
Mighty Rage: +8 AB (in 20 cap), adds CON modifier to physical dmg
Greater Rage: At 40base STR, gives you crit imm/regen. Try to keep it up at all times.
Taunt: Use it, all the time, on everything that moves. Gives spell failure on casters as well (raks, ect).
Displacement: Always ask bard/mage, you have no way to give yourself any conceal. Mass Camo will do a little, but with no hide Displace is better.
Weapon Buffs: Sonic will do nothing for you, wont stack with your rage.
Swapping weps for healing mobs, make sure you go to large size before changing weps, or you will end up tanking an elite with no shield on.
Tanking: You are a primary tank, you should be smack in the middle of the group of mobs, hitting the priority targets and keeping them away from casters. Your fear aura and taunt will help keep them angry at you. Don’t be afraid to pull.
