Are they still a viable class? I feel like I rarely see any online (via the dash), and never really saw any while I was in game either.

I am working on one myself right now only L14 atm but I haven't seen them in some time and I am sure people also didn't like the change to Tia gear reducing their high level slots.

There are very few of them. I turned mine into an 'almost' max wis with monk splash in robes using zeny. can dual wield with POM gloves, but it's still kinda meh.

I've (re)built my Zeny threader as well, as my post on the other day. 20/20 near uni, near maxxed wisdom. I find lts quite awesome actually. I wonder why they aren't more popular...
People that doesn't go Wisdom should REALLY try a 26/14 build (for more attacks/AB with divine power)

Spellslot nerf propably hurted threaders the most, sure they can keep it going for longer without rest, but less effective for most of the time. There are some cool threaders out there, Digs' to mention one. I'd like to see how 10x threader would perform in a Nessus run massing the Coil.

I haven't played my Threader since the last update so I can't speak for how well he does now, but before the update he was a very solid damage dealer and pretty fun to play as well. My threader is a 26Cleric/14WM and Wisdom based... perhaps the only one of that kind. Those extra cleric levels get a much improved Divine Power (extra attack + Fighter LBAB), an epic spell (I got Girding for more AC), max dice Darkfire & Frost Weapon, faster FOM & a slightly better Prayer (-1). The extra damage types from WM at levels 16 and 20 aren't as critical as before since most of the time you'll want to stick with the Physical damage type.
My first Wis based LT was pretty much a fail. I think I used Kolyarut iirc and I ended up dying a lot mainly due to low saves (0x Demi didn't help either). After that fail build I spent a lot of time remaking him and ended up settling on Undying for my race. With Undying I was able to get 66F/67R/77W, 135 AC (145 w/ Improved Expertise), 100 AB, and 58 DC for the threading check which isn't max but close enough. His stats are lower than your normal tank, but not that bad for a Wis based LT: 34 STR, 36 DEX, 30 CON, ~68 WIS. He can surivive the lower STR/DEX checks without a problem but is still quite vulnerable to KD by the big guys so you have to play it smart around them.
I had intended to post my LT build a while ago, and I actually have it already formatted in BB code so if you'd like me to post the entire build just lmk.

Digs,
Shard and I both had 26/14 builds. I now have a 25/14/1 monk. Really the introduction of intuitive attack was great to allow wis builds to have reasonable AB. Actually i was using Zeny, now I have an HK build. the phys damage is great, and being able to lower SR helps for quick moving groups (wis threader +PM is great).
