As a slight alternative to this I use the following method:
• Make a copy of 'nwncdkey.ini' in your nwn folder and name it '001cdkey.ini'. Overwrite the contents with your new cdkeys.
• Make a copy of 'nwnplayer.ini' in the nwn folder and name it '001player.ini'. Change 'Client Port' (increase by 1), change 'Player Name' to your second playername. If you have multiple cores I recommend specifying different cores for each ini file. For instance nwnplayer.ini has 'Client CPU Affinity=0' and 001player.ini has 'Client CPU Affinity=1'.
download the following 2 exe's and place them both in your nwn folder:
My solution was taken from Hack's and other's using batch files. I have different versions of these ini files: - nwn.ini (I like my non-primary NWN windows to be smaller than my main NWN window; my wife doesn't like windowed mode at all; you also need to set up different log file folders if you care about your logs) - nwncdkey - nwnplayer (each one with a different port, and the different login credentials)
Then I have batch files that set up each ini file and then starts up NWN or ARF2, depending on if it's primary or not. Example batch code: copy C:\NWN\nwn-large.ini C:\NWN\nwn.ini copy C:\NWN\nwncdkey-nvs.ini C:\NWN\nwncdkey.ini copy C:\NWN\nwnplayer-nvs.ini C:\NWN\nwnplayer.ini
start C:\NWN\arf2\arf2.exe And my wife's looks like this: copy C:\NWN\nwn-max.ini C:\NWN\nwn.ini copy C:\NWN\nwncdkey-juel.ini C:\NWN\nwncdkey.ini copy C:\NWN\nwnplayer-juel.ini C:\NWN\nwnplayer.ini start C:\NWN\arf2\arf2.exe
If you try something like this and have any questions, I'd be happy to help.
